Fla resident A/P question?

Does anyone know how strict the cast members are at the gates for the ap passes? I was wondering if a florida resident purchased them if you could still get in without validation. I noticed in the past that they do not check anything. We have used
and bought other persons days before and used them. I just thought it would be less expensive to
do it this way I have realized how much money we have lost in the past by going down twice but, not knowing that we are going to be doing all of that travelling. But, I thought if I bought the ap's we would have to go back or I could give them to my Aunt who lives in Fla.

Thanks, Diann

Dianne.

The first time you use your pass, they do a biometric scan of two of your fingers. The "details" are "supposedly" stored on the strip on your pass.

Each time thereafter, you always have to scan your fingers again, for a "comparison." (The pass actually stops in the machine, and won't come back out until you put your fingers in.)

I've never tried to see if someone else could use my pass -- to "chicken" that it might get confiscated, but I wouldn't try it, if I were you. Of course, if you're done using it for the year, you could go ahead and "let" them try. I don't think they'd throw them out of the park :) -- they just wouldn't let them in. (They could play dumb!)

Good Luck!

Beth,

So are you saying that if my aunt purchased them for me that they will not ask for any i.d. when we use them just scan our fingers? Do I have it right. Let me know I still will probably pay more and do it the old fashioned way.

Thanks!!

Hi we live about 90 min from the mouse house
and have fla. AP. if they dont work or take your
fingers so to say they will ask for ID and it better say fla. on it just to let you know .

the first time you "activate" the voucher and get the actual pass at the park you will have to show your florida ID. and if for some reason, the scanner doesn't read your fingers and denies your pass, you will probbaly have to show ID. I know every time it happened to me, I did have to show my ID.

You would need to be aware that its not that unusual for the finger scan not to work and then you'd be asked for ID. Not worth the risk IMO.
