Flight Question - coming from east coast

I know we're going to have a layover somewhere since we're flying from PHL - one flight on Delta seems to be a good option, but has a 37 minute layover in Minneapolis. We have to change planes. Anyone ever done a connecting flight in that airport before? My two concerns are 1) is 37 minutes enough time to change planes, and 2) is trying to fly in and out of Minneapolis a bad idea in January?

I dont personally think that is enough time. We had an hour layover in Phoenix once and luckily made it on by banging on the door! Why not drive the extra hour or two to fly direct out of JFK?

Edit - Washington has some direct flights as well

Thanks everyone! I gave up on on that idea and went with a flight that has an hour layover in Dallas. It is booked as one flight with American. Thanks!!
