Florida turnpike traffic Christmas Eve?

We are leaving two days later than planned for WDW, which puts us on the road December 24th. Any ideas how the traffic will be along the turnpike that afternoon/early evening?

I ask because we were northbound on December 31st two years ago, and the southbound traffic was backed up several miles (no kidding) at the northernmost toll-plaza. I'd rather detour (route 27 perhaps) if we're looking at similar backups tommorrow.
