Getting we are having technical issues when you call Disney

The system is so screwy!! I had to slip away at work and call since Ive been trying for two days to make my reservations... I did get everything I wanted BUT LTT for dinner but that's bc its the night of a MNSSHP so Ill book that later...

So the poor CM made all my reservations for 4 when it should have been 2, I tried to change it which it wont let me online right now but that's not a big deal..

I tried to take the CM survey and had to push 1 5x and still couldn't get the survey
Just wanted to let everyone know they are having technical issues
 
And sadly before Disney discovered the words "outsourcing is cheaper" they were noted for one of the finest IT departments in the world.
 
Still the same this morning so we are talking about atleast 4 days of this mess.. I need to change a few of my ADR as the CM I spoke to yesterday someone screwed that up, but online it wont let me change or cancel or book new still, Im at work so I dont know if I can call later... I hope so..

Was it really? I’ve never heard anyone say that but I’m sure that’s because I’ve only been following Disney closely the last 4 years or so.

But don’t worry, their IT is now ‘industry standard’.
 
It was back in 2014/2015 they let hundreds of IT ppl go and outsourced it.. Florida Governor even looked into it after complaints were filed
 
Same thing for me too. I’ve cut way back on my dining reservations over the years, just wanted to get my 5 reservations made for my 10 day visit. I don’t think it’s too much to ask.

I know because I am a senior IT specialist with 37 years in government service. Some of the software they developed in house was just brilliant.
 
I just booked an online ADR for Yak and Yeti about 20 minutes ago so maybe it's fixed now.

A lot of the user interface and customer facing parts are very poor but the FP+ system back end has to be brilliant. It amazes me that their databases can handle the volume they do. One of my coworkers (SW database guy) was speculating that they use Amazon’s database architecture. I don’t know but I do know that tens of thousands of people are looking for FPs at the same time every day.
