Hi there!!!

Would you guys have any advices for good affordable ($20 pp) sit down restaurants on the Las Vegas Strip? Thanks alot!!!!:thumbsup2

Each hotel has at least one reasonably priced restaurant. Grand Lux Cafe in the Venetian, Cheesecake Factory in Caesar's, Rainforest Cafe in MGM, America at NYNY, Margaritaville at the Flamingo, Harley Davidson Cafe, etc....

Rainforest Cafe in MGM
If you're planning to go to Rainforest Cafe, be sure to join their membership club -- the name escapes me right now, but it's easy to find. They'll give you an up-front coupon that makes the membership fee worthwhile, and they'll send you $5 coupons on your birthday forever. The coupons are good for meals OR merchandise, and they'll take expired coupons. The real benefit, though, is that you get front-of-the-line privledges with your membership card.

Thanks alot! How much is the membership for the Rainforest Cafe? We might also go to one in Downtown Disney....!

I looked it up on http://www.rainforestcafe.com/

It's called the Safari Club. It's $15 to join, and you get a $10 gift certificate (good for food or merchandise) right away. You also get 10% off entrees and front-of-the-line privledges. The membership doesn't expire, and you don't keep paying $15 -- it's a one-time thing. You do, however, get $5 coupons in the mail on your birthday.

We're big fans of the Burger Bar, which is right between Mandalay Bay and Luxor. It's a really nice little cafe that serves fantastic burgers that you can customize just like you want them. Awesome food and very reasonable.

Grand Lux Cafe at the Venetian is also fantastic--it's owned by the same company as Cheesecake Factory and the food is amazing and often large enough to split. We've also enjoyed America at NYNY.

Almost any strip casino will have a "coffee shop" with moderate prices and varying quality of food. The nicer and newer the resort, the better the coffee shop, but also the higher the prices. Bellagio's is great for breakfast, Luxor's is not bad all around. Excalibur and Flamingo were both passable but a bit skeevy.

We just got back from Vegas. We ate at the buffet at Mandalay Bay. It was nice and very affordable. We also ate the cafe at Mandalay Bay, I think it was called Raffles Cafe and enjoyed it as well.

We ate at the buffet at the Mirage which was a complete waste of money for us. The Prime Rib was tough, the shrimp (for shrimp cocktail was warm), and about the only thing we could choke down was the pizza.

We moved up strip to The Venetian and ate at The Grand Lux cafe. It was fabulous and very reasonable. We ate there for both brunch and dinner. Excellent.

We also ate at Johnny Rockets in the "mall" there at the Venetian. I think it may be called the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian. Very reasonably priced. A good little hamburger place.

There places like Subway, Pizza, etc. in the malls like Fashion Show Mall.

Have a great trip!

Just a block or so off the Strip is Ellis Island, where I had the best $4.95 steak dinner a couple of years ago. Salad, bread, steak, choice of potato, green veggie...and a carafe of wine was only $9.00. I think the price is up to $6.95 now, but still a good deal. Stopped by the next morning for breakfast and had the $3.49 steak and eggs.:thumbsup2

Hi

I just returned from Vegas.

Mirage has a new restaurant called BLT burger -- burgers, fries, shakes -- looked really good -- definately less than $20 pp.

Also the Flamingo has a great italian restaurant (can't think of its name) that is good and not too expensive.

Have fun.

YES!!! You must try Earl of Sandwich in the Planet Hollywood hotel. They have one in Downtown Disney in Florida which is where I first ate there and it is sooo good. Here is a link to their website:

I second the Cheesecake Factory in Caesars Palace. It's back by the aquarium and the Atlantis statue show, which is kind of lame but might as well see it if you are back there.
The salads there are good but huge, definitely shareable so you could get one salad and then still have room for dessert. ;)

Also in the Fashion Show mall across from the Wynn, there is a California Pizza Kitchen which is really good. There's one in the Mirage too but it's right in the casino so it's more crowded and noisy which might bother some people. The Santa Fe Chicken pizza is one of my faves.
