Great to see a board for DLP. We've visited 4 times so far & hopefully haven't finished yet!!!!!!!

DLP will hold a special place in our hearts as we first visited when our 3 kids were much younger, so they all believed in the magic.

We' ve only stayed on site at Ranch Davy Crockett due to having previously mentioned 3 kids. So if any one has any questions on the ranch , Fire away.

Hi Sue

Just wanted to say 'Hi' to another fan of the Ranch. We have been 6 times so far (another visti planned for May) and always stay at the Ranch as we too have 3 children. But we love it there and always feel like we are going 'home' when we drive up to the barriers! Still get a real thrill - I think that I would love staying there even if DLP was not just down the road! :)

As a semi-serious question, with all that there is to do at the Ranch (especially for kids), do you ever have any trouble getting your brood OUT of the Ranch to go and visit the parks?

Actually Simon I have had that problem once :)

We planned on a swim one morning when we were there in the height of summer and then intended to go to the park later. But it was a lovley day and the kids wanted to hire one of the 'family' bikes so we did that. The they wanted to go to see the Tee-pees and the reindeer and wolves, and then they had to try their hands at archery, have a pony ride...........and so on and so on. Went into the park for the evening fireworks and that was all!

But it was a great, relaxing day and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. And as we were there for 5 and had visited before it was nice to recharge our batteries a little.

...... another question..... since you need to drive for the Ranch, how long does it take you to drive there - do you use Le Shuttle?

It's about a 3 hour drive from the Eurotunnel station at Calais. It's a very straightforward drive, motorway all the way, with far less traffic than you would find on most UK motorways.

Regards

Rob

Its about 2.5 -3 hours very easy drive to DLP from Calais, Very easy says the non-driver!!!!!!!

To be honest Simon we didn't advertise all the extras to our kids, though they enjoyed seeing the animals.

The best bit is the swimming pool which all 3 of ours loved. We split up a couple of our days & went in the pool mid afternoon & then went back to the park.

We were also allowed back into the ranch on the day we checked out to use the pool, after our last day in the park.

On our last visit we enquoired about upgrading our breakfst to a charecter breakfast. On being told the price we decided against it. Whilst eating breakfast at the rest on Davy Crockett, Minnie & Mickey appeared, and as it wasn't crowded our 3 had great interaction with them.
