Groceries for villas?

the perfect in line snack is the gummy friut snacks. In the disney shapes of course. They are not messy, don't melt and take up no room. For the villa, i would caution not to buy too much. We take food just for breakfast, but always end up with way too much. We then hate to take it back home so it gets waisted. For ideas.

Easy-mac
instant oatmeal or grits
muffins, bagels
fresh fruit
micro- popcorn
creal bars
good quality frozen dinners
sandwich fixins
chips/pretzels
goldfish or other snack crackers
soda
lots of bottled water

My best advice would be to NOT go to the Crossroads Grocery store. It's overpriced and the selections are not that great.

We always buy:
bread (for toast and sandwhiches)
frozen waffles
milk
cereal
sandwich meat
micro popcorn
goldfish
chips
bananas
hot dogs
easy mac
frozen pizza
bottled water
butter
sandwhich baggies - to pack snacks for the parks
bagels and cream cheese
coffemate or half and half
fruit roll ups
those pre-made pb and j sandwiches
ice cream or popcicles

We always eat breakfast in the room and usually try to make it back to the room for dinner. Lunch is almost always in the parks. We still pack lots of snacks to take in to the parks.

We are going in 5 weeks (Feb 28 to March 7) with a 22 month old and here is our shopping list.

Grapes, Apples and Bananas (oranges?)
Coke (cans)
Water
Milk
Apple Juice (boxes)
Pop Tarts and Pastry Swirls
Cereal
Pringles
Teddy Grams
Gold fish
Crackers
Microwave popcorn
M&M

Cheese
Cooked Chicken
Mac and Cheese
Hot dogs

Lunch meat,
Bread,
Peanut butter and Jelly
Or Cream cheese

We also always have the Gerber Graduates fruit Juice snacks, they are easy for a baby your age to diguest. Last summer we brought some fruit snacks from Costco with us on vaction and she ate a ton, turns out her poor tummy couldn't break them down and she threw them all up for the next 2 hours. Not fun (any time or on vaction.)

We plan to get out mostly for lunch and dinner, maybe one or 2 breakfests. We like to eat snacks in the room and occaional lunch if we are in the mood at the villa. One nice things is if you have leftovers you can actually take them home and eat them later if you feel like it.

PUBLIX IS NEARBY AND LESS EXPENSIVE THAN GOODINGS. YOU COULD ASK FOR DIRECTIONS ONCE YOU GET THERE. ALSO DON'T FORGET BEER OR WINE IF YOU WANT THAT COCKTAIL AT BEDTIME WHILE THE LITTLE ONE IS SLEEPING.
