Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom isn't the only Halloween celebration in the Orlando area. Many other facilities, including the area's other major theme parks, are having Halloween festivities.

HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS

Considering one of the best Halloween events in the nation, Universal Studios holds Halloween Horror Nights for its 11th straight year. The celebration has five new haunted houses to experience, screamingly frightful live shows, and hundreds of mutants and monsters out to get you all around the park. Jack is back from last year's ghastly party and he's going to show you that no matter where you turn, there's no clowning around!

Haunted Houses
* The Mummy Returns: The Curse Continues - Based on the hit movie, you venture through the Temple of the Scorpion King.
* Pitch Black - Investigate a mysterious zone of darkness and experience weird disturbances.
* Run - Try to escape from this game with no questions, no prizes, and only one rule - to escape without losing your mind.
* Scary Tales - There is no happy ending to this abandoned fairy tale carnival ride.
* Superstitions - Believe in the supernatural after exploring a hidden warehouse filled with ancient relics and urban legends.

Entertainment
* Bill and Ted's Excellent Halloween Adventure - Party with the two excellent dudes, Bill and Ted, as they parody pop culture icons.
* Boogeyman - See some of the scariest film madmen ever to scare the silver screen.
* Dangerous D'Illusions - Illusionist Franz Harary performs mind-bending magic.
* The Ooze Zone - Fright Club - Emerge in a dance hall full of fun and foam (Friday and Saturday nights only).
* Midway of the Bizarre - Venture through the grounds of a sinister carnival. You'll never know what is hiding in the fog!
* Nightmare Alley - Go into the "hacklot" and meet the most notorious screen maniacs.
* The Unknown - Make your way past zombie hordes who feast for a living.
* Nightmares on Parade - Watch ghoulish floats past you by on the street. Catch the flying beads!

Remember to ride the movies with Terminator 2: 3-D, Back to the Future, Men in Black: Alien Attack, Jaws, Twister, and the Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera.

Halloween Horror Nights is a separate ticketed event. Day tickets and annual passes are not valid for admission.

HOWL-O-SCREAM

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay takes on Halloween again for the second time, riding off its very successful first year in 2000. Five haunted houses await your visit. Two new shows will have you howling for more. Which will be louder: the roar of the roller coasters or the screams from terrified guests?

Haunted Houses
* Screaming Reality - Come face to face with Poppa Bug and his demented kin, all out of touch with the real world and fascinated with popular horror movies.
* Escape from Insanity - Welcome to Sunny Meadows. The staff is dying to keep you!
* Creeper's Crypt - Hang on for a ride through the underbelly of the Crypt!
* Nightstalker in 3D - Journey into a three-dimensional experience in the Night Stalker's lair.
* Curse of Tut's Tomb - A twisting maze of crypt chambers await as you uncover the mysteries and frights of Egyptian pharaoh King Tutankhamun.

Shows
* RIP-TV - Come and see the underworld's most hippest and most demented cable channel. Who might appear? Perhaps Ricky Martin, Christina Aguilera, or Britney Spears?
* Friends - You are invited to the wildest party outside of Transylvania! The ghoulish rock and roll concert will blow the roof off the Stanleyville Theater.

It’s time to get spooky at the zoo again. Brevard Zoo will once again be transformed into the Space Coast’s best haunt for all the little area ghouls and goblins. “Boo at the Zoo presented by WA1A 107.1 and WHKR 102.7 FM”, is in its eight year at the local community built zoo in Melbourne. Started as in 1994 as a small community activity run by area girl scouts, Boo at the Zoo has has become the premier site for trick-or-treating and Halloween fun. Attended by over 12,000 people last year, the event is projected to draw big crowds again this fall.
Over 30 treat stations manned by area businesses will be located around the park. A spooky train ride around Lemur Island, a Haunted Hay Ride around the future site for Africa – the zoo’s big expansion next year, and special live entertainment in the Serengeti Pavilion. Surf Express Travel Agency will once again be holding a raffle at the event to benefit the zoo - $1 tickets for a chance at a complete trip (airfare, car, hotel, etc.) to Costa Rica. New to “Boo” this year will be a Haunted House run by the zoo’s award winning Teen Volunteers and nightly visits from local radio celebrities from WA1A and WHKR.
A large team of community volunteers and zoo docents man the event, which is held after regular zoo hours from 5:30-9:30 PM on all four nights. Sponsors and donors make the event possible and major contributions this year have come from Publix Supermarkets, Space Coast Area Transit, Cumulus Broadcasting, Events To Go, Surf Express, The Highland Mint, and Kids Camp. Treat Station table sponsors can sign up until one week prior to the event start date.
Park and Ride service is being provided by Space Coast Area Transit and will be available from the Viera Government Center. For those wishing to avoid the lines on event nights – advance tickets will be on sale at the zoo starting on October 5th.

In 1884, Orlando erected the Old County Jail where Tabu now stands. For the 37 years of the prison's existence, there were innumerable hangings and acts of violence by the unjust. Since most of their deeds were so vengeful, it is our belief that spirits are trapped here. The souls of those criminals still roam the halls and underground corridors to this day. Many people have witnessed a mass of haze we believe are ghosts traveling throughout the premise. Join Tabu as we resurrect those malicious spirits and re-enact some of the scariest scenes in THE OLD COUNTY JAIL. Costume contest at midnight.
