Handicapped Theme Park Parking Pricing

Hi all. We'll be traveling with my MIL who is handicapped and staying offsite. Trying to work on our budget right now. Is there a cost to park in the handicapped spots with a tag?

Thank you.

If you are staying off-site, yes the standard daily fee for parking at the theme parks is $22.
If anyone in the vehicle is an AP holder, the fee for theme park parking is complimentary.
If you are staying on-site, parking at the theme parks is free. With an H/A hangtag or plates, the resort overnight fee should be waived.
Valet parking at a resort is free with an H/A hangtag or plate.

Thank you very much.

Good to know. With 10 days at the parks, that's about $220. Add in the cost of the rental car, and we're probably closing in on $700. It would be a smaller room staying at a Value, but I could deal with that and have easier access to the parks.

This won’t affect price of parking that lanejudy wrote about, but if she is able to step up to get into the parking lot trams, you may be better off parking in a regular parking spot.
The handicapped parking areas do not have team service. Even though they are the closest spots to the park entrance, the walk will often be longer using that area than walking from a regular parking spot to the tram pick up. There are a limited number of coutesy wheelchairs to use from handicapped parking to the park entrance, but no guarantee any will be available.

If she has an ECV or wheelchair , she will need to park in the handicapped area because the trams from the regular lots are not wheelchair or ECV accessible.

So just to update my post earlier on this thread... theme park parking fees increased last week. The current rate is $25 for standard parking ($50 for preferred).

Enjoy your vacation!

While parking used to be included in resorts’ nightly rates, they now charge separately (but if you are paying hotel parking you do not have to also pay theme park parking).
