Having Annual Passes means infinite Disney trips, right? *COMPLETED* 6/5 California Grill Brunch

Catching up. Your hair looks amazing. So pretty. Beautiful enough to be a princess.
Thank you :) One little girl I walked by did say to her mom she thought I looked like a princess, I loved that.

I love Jiko. One of my favorites. I need to get dessert. We always seem to skip it there. The pudding looks really good.
I highly recommend the dessert we had, it was so unique and delicious. We rarely get desserts, but the waiter made it sound so good we had to try it. Jiko is definitely one of my favorite restaurants at Disney now.

Glad you enjoyed the tour. Too bad the food was dry from sitting out. I have never been, so I don't know if it is always that bad. Such a bimmer.
I hope the food isn't that bad when you get it fresh, but the experience has made me not want to try it again so I'll probably never know. The tour was awesome though, I definitely didn't go into it for the food :)

Great Jiko dinner, the food looks lovely!
It was! A definite must do again for me.

We did the KTTKT and we had lunch at CHH, the food was fine, the tour was fantastic! Glad you enjoyed it.
The food is definitely not the highlight of the tour, but I agree with you that the tour is fantastic I'm so glad I got to experience it.

We really like Pecos Bills nachos and toppings bar except now no more guacamole unless you pay extra, bummer!
When I was looking at their menu I almost went with the nachos, I probably should have. So many places charge a lot of guacamole. It's kind of funny I really don't like guacamole at all, but I have two huge avocado trees in my backyard my grandfather had planted so I have this endless supply of them. The squirrels really seem to enjoy them.

That's my favorite breakfast sandwich at Starbucks too, yum.
It is delicious, my usual go to there.

Aw, yeah we didn't have a great experience at Peco Bill's either that stinks that they took you there for the tour.
When we ordered our food at the beginning of the tour I was a little disappointed that was the option, definitely won't be going back there, but I guess it's always good to try new things.

Trip 8 - 3/16-3/18
Be Our Guest Dinner

I was able to grab a last second dinner reservation for Be Our Guest a couple weeks before our trip. It worked out perfectly since it was at 4:30pm and we were driving home after. I wasn't sure exactly when the tour was going to end so I didn't want anything earlier. The tour ended up ending around 3:30pm so we had time to do a couple fast pass rides I had made before heading over to the restaurant.

This will probably be my last time eating here, at least for a while. I'm not sure we'd enjoy the new menu and the set price menu makes it a lot more expensive to go to.

upload_2018-4-20_7-53-6.png

Around 4pm we tried to see if they might seat us early. This normally doesn't work, but I figured since the restaurant had just opened for dinner they might be able to accommodate. Which they did! :yay:

I was pretty hungry from not eating much at lunch and we wanted to get on the road as early as possible. I asked what room they would be seating us in and they said the Ballroom. I've never gotten to eat in the West Wing so I asked if we could sit in there instead. They said it would be a 15 minute wait and we were escorted back outside. I didn't think it would take that long, there was literally like 4 families inside the whole restaurant so far. About 30 seconds later we were escorted back inside to our table.

So I apologize for the dark pictures, there isn't much light in this room.

upload_2018-4-20_7-56-35.png

For those of you that don't know, the West Wing is one of three rooms you can dine in at Be Our Guest. They also have the main ballroom and the Library. I wouldn't recommend this room if you have small children, I think it could be a bit frightful. There is the sound of thunder every so often and flashes of lightning. There is a painting that hangs on the wall that changes from the prince to the beast.

upload_2018-4-20_7-58-23.png

The room is pretty cool, but I'd never sit in there again. So many people come into the little room to take pictures, it's pretty distracting when you're trying to enjoy your meal.

upload_2018-4-20_7-59-23.png

The enchanted rose has petals that fall, which triggers the lightning and thunder and the painting switching.

upload_2018-4-20_8-0-8.png

upload_2018-4-20_8-0-27.png

Fresh hot bread and butter was brought to our table.

upload_2018-4-20_8-1-10.png

This was my first time dining there with Lobster Bisque on the menu so I had to try it. It was really delicious and creamy, not that much lobster actually in it though.

upload_2018-4-20_8-2-2.png

My Fiance went with his favorite soup the French Onion Soup. He enjoyed this a lot.

upload_2018-4-20_8-2-55.png

This dark blob is the Braised Beef Served with Seasonal Vegetables, Baby Potatoes, Balsamic-Caramelized Onions, and crispy Potato Curls

My Fiance really liked this and ate almost everything on the plate.

upload_2018-4-20_8-4-44.png

I ordered the Sautéed Shrimp and Scallops with Lobster, Mushrooms, and Seasonal Vegetables in a creamy Lobster Sauce.

This was just okay, I've definitely had better on previous trips.

Be Our Guest Dinner Continued

We were pretty stuffed, but I love the Grey Stuff dessert they have and had to try it one last time.

upload_2018-4-20_8-7-13.png

It did not disappoint. It was delicious and creamy, I'm really glad we ordered it. When we left we timed it well to get a picture with the Beast before leaving.

upload_2018-4-20_8-8-8.png

upload_2018-4-20_8-8-24.png

I love this hallway with the talking metal knights. They say funny things so be sure to stop and listen to them as you're leaving.

Castle was actually open to walk through as we were leaving so we went that way.

upload_2018-4-20_8-9-27.png

I liked looking out from the castle. On the Tour they had talked about forced perspective. They said when you first enter the park the castle is meant to look huge and far away. When you are leaving and tired you don't want a long walk back, so the train station at the end of Main Street USA is meant to look a lot closer. What do you think?

upload_2018-4-20_8-10-52.png

And with that our quick weekend trip was over. Be Our Guest is one of my favorite restaurants in Magic Kingdom, I'm not sure how it will be with the new menu change in a few months. This was a really fun trip with the photoshoot and special tour.

My next trip will be in a couple weeks when we go for my Wedding Planning Session. It will also be my last trip on this annual pass and conclude this dining report.

The room is pretty cool, but I'd never sit in there again. So many people come into the little room to take pictures, it's pretty distracting when you're trying to enjoy your meal.

I agree, we had lunch here on our first trip, and so many people were taking flash pictures it was really distracting.

My Fiance went with his favorite soup the French Onion Soup. He enjoyed this a lot.

Yum, it looks so cheesy!

Looks like you all had a great last meal! We've never been huge fans of BoG but I am curious what the new menu will be like to see if they up their culinary game. Thanks so much for sharing.

I agree, we had lunch here on our first trip, and so many people were taking flash pictures it was really distracting.
It really is. Our table was relatively close to all the things people wanted to take pictures of so that didn't help either.

Yum, it looks so cheesy!
This soup is like the cheesiest thing you can order.

I think I've always like it just for the uniqueness of the building and I've never had any terrible food there. I'm curious to read some reviews when they change over the menu to see how people like it. It was a good way to end a trip :)

Great BoG review, the west wing is a cool room, we had lunch in there one time. You are so right about all the people coming in for pictures. I don’t think we will be eating dinner at BoG for awhile now with the changes either. There is something about the castle and ambience that draws me there almost every trip! Look forward to your next reviews!

Trip 9 - 5/10-5/13
Wedding Menu Tastings

We are slowly coming to the end of my first year with an Annual Pass. I've had a full year of Disney trips and have really enjoyed sharing all the dining experiences with all of you :flower1: We have decided to renew our Annual Passes, upgrading them so we can go over NYE. I won't be writing another year long dining report, but I might do another when I'm there for a week for my wedding.

Now onto my last weekend trip to Disney on this Annual Pass. We drove up Thursday night since we had to be at the Grand Floridian at 9am Friday morning. I was going to take pictures of our meal at Wendy's, but after waiting over an hour in line and having our food messed up I forgot to take them before we ate everything.

This trip we were staying offsite at a Marriott villa property with my parents in a two bedroom villa. It was nice, but I wouldn't stay there again, it was a little too far for my liking.

So the purpose of the trip was to meet with my Wedding Planner and go over every little detail of my upcoming Disney wedding. We started with the menu tasting at 9am, definitely interesting to eat that kind of food so early. It was such a fun experience though and I really enjoyed everything. Since we are having our reception in the Grand Floridian Ballrooms we did our tasting in the kitchen there.

Screen Shot 2018-05-17 at 11.48.30 AM.png

Before the meeting I had to list out food I wanted to try here. They had printed out these cute menus to show everything we would be trying for the day.

Screen Shot 2018-05-17 at 12.00.01 PM.png

This is how the plates will look at the wedding.

The first item we were tasting was Chicken Satay with peanut sauce. We will serve these at the cocktail hour before the reception. We were limited on how many things we'd like to try so we couldn't try everything that we would be having on the day of the wedding.

Screen Shot 2018-05-17 at 12.01.24 PM.png

These were delicious. The purpose of trying all these different foods was to make sure we actually liked them or wanted to change them all together or partially for the wedding day.

I forgot to take a picture of the next items we tried. Lobster Mac and Cheese and Crab Cake. Both were really, really good. We decided to have the Lobster Mac and Cheese be the appetizer for all the meals and moved the crab cake to the cocktail hour.

Screen Shot 2018-05-17 at 12.04.42 PM.png

This was one of the three main courses, Filet Mignon. I wanted to try it with a couple different sauces including the truffle butter sauce from Le Cellier. That was the one I liked the best. We are also having a mushroom risotto as the side of all the main courses. The risotto was really good.

So there was a small hiccup with all these tastings. I forgot to mention that my parents are pescatarian, they are mostly vegetarian but do eat fish. I didn't realize that we would each get a plate of the food and they wouldn't be eating any of the meat. So the kitchen scrambled to prepare something special for them so they had something to eat. This ended up working out perfectly because they made them scallops with risotto and found them to be absolutely amazing, I didn't even get to try a bite.

Screen Shot 2018-05-17 at 12.07.02 PM.png

They raved about these scallops the entire trip.

Screen Shot 2018-05-17 at 12.09.39 PM.png

We were trying the Salmon and Chicken dishes next. For my parents they had Salmon and Shrimp instead of the chicken. They said the shrimp was really great. We all decided we didn't really like either of these courses. The salmon was dry and not cooked well. We decided to change this course to Shrimp and Scallops instead. The chicken just wasn't very special, so we decided to change it to the stuffed chicken they have that comes with cheese and spinach inside. Hopefully it turns out well since we won't be able to try it ahead of time.

Screen Shot 2018-05-17 at 12.14.40 PM.png

At the end of the tasting they gave us a Mickey rice crispy treat, which I left behind in the hotel and never got to eat sadly.

When we finished the tasting they told us we had a couple hours until our planning session continued over at the Wedding Pavilion. Since my Fiancé and I have annual passes we decided to pop over to Magic Kingdom, while my parents went off to explore the monorail resorts. We ended up with a couple anytime fast passes from downed rides.

Screen Shot 2018-05-17 at 12.16.22 PM.png

We ended up using these after dinner that night, there just wasn't enough time for us to do everything before 1pm. Instead we went on the People Mover and the Carousel of Progress.

Screen Shot 2018-05-17 at 12.19.25 PM.png

On the way over to Franck's we saw a bride in Cinderella's Carriage.

Screen Shot 2018-05-17 at 12.20.26 PM.png

The remainder of the planning session would take place here.

Wedding Menu Tastings Continued

Snowball was being a bad pony trying to bite the other horses. But the front horse Gus Gus was a sweetie.

Screen Shot 2018-05-17 at 12.22.31 PM.png

The Cake Tasting! When I went into this I was certain I'd love the cookies and cream filling and the marble cake. Well, we ended up with flavors I didn't think we would.

From left to right the cakes are: Lemon, Red Velvet, Marble, Yellow
Fillings: Amaretto crunch, buttercream, cookies and cream, hazelnut
There was a bonus flavor of milk chocolate in the cake slice they had assembled.

So we ended up loving the Lemon and Red Velvet cakes and the buttercream filing. I really liked the hazelnut filling, but it was a little overpowering and didn't go with the cake flavors we liked. So we are going to do the bottom and top layer of the cake in Red Velvet and the middle layer will be Lemon as well as the sheet cake.

Screen Shot 2018-05-17 at 12.27.14 PM.png

Here's a picture of my bouquet inspiration. I love the blue orchids, I can't wait to see what they do with mine.

That's the end of the food tastings for the wedding. It was a really long day, we didn't finish until almost 6pm. We did have dinner reservations for Citricos that night. All the meals we had this weekend were made a few days before our trip. So months prior I made reservations including my parents in everything and picking places they would enjoy. Then my mom told me to not include them, that they wouldn't be hungry. So I cancelled everything and changed them to things my Fiance and I would enjoy. Then a week before my dad said he was never clued into this and wanted to eat together. So I found a reservation for Citricos. We were eating at Victoria and Albert's together for certain so I hadn't removed that one, but the biggest issue was the one I made for Mother's Day.

So I'm not sure why I thought my parents wouldn't want to go to the California Grill Brunch, which I was able to grab a few days before, but only for 2. My mom was all upset that I wasn't going to be spending Mother's Day with her, even though we were spending the rest of the weekend together. So I tried calling Disney to change it to four people, they were unhelpful and I got nowhere. So I signed up for the reservation finder and amazingly got a text the next day for 4. If I hadn't been able to change my Fiance was going to hang out with my dad and my mom was going to go to the brunch. I'm really glad it worked out, but my parents really stressed me out having me change everything last second.

Screen Shot 2018-05-17 at 12.34.49 PM.png

After the planning session we popped over to the wedding pavilion. The wedding that had happened at 2:30pm was done and completely cleaned up, it was like a wedding hadn't just been there. It was fun taking pictures here, the next time we stand here will be on our wedding day!

Up next dinner at Citricos...

I'm glad TP was able to find the Cali Grill adr for you. I know how frustrating getting ADRs can be. You should definitely do a wedding week review. That would be so fun to follow. I'm going to miss all your dining reports.

Wow, what great food you are going to have at the wedding. I can't wait to try it all :P Seriously though, odd they wouldn't let you try everything you were considering. As much as I am sure you are paying you think you could try everything you were interested in and widdle from there.

Great you were able to get your CG brunch worked out. I currently am searching for a dinner there for my birthday and August so you've given me hope. We don't normally plan, but we'll have some friends with us so the party is larger than normal.

Only 10 days from wedding day for me so I have been AWOL from the dining reports but had to pop in here to see your tasting highlights!!!

We started with the menu tasting at 9am, definitely interesting to eat that kind of food so early.
Wow that would be odd to have all these lovely dinner items for breakfast but I can't say I would hate it!! Filet for breakfast yummmm

Before the meeting I had to list out food I wanted to try here. They had printed out these cute menus to show everything we would be trying for the day
Everything sounds fabulous! I hope you got a menu for a keepsake

We were limited on how many things we'd like to try so we couldn't try everything that we would be having on the day of the wedding
Rude! Haha. I guess it's not rude at all but we had SO MUCH FOOD at our tasting... it was a full meal for sure. Although we did ask to sub out one entree for shrimp and grits and they didn't make us shrimp and grits to taste but we've definitely had them before so I can't nitpick. I would definitely need the tasting more at Disney than at the hometown place where we're getting married!!!

That's fantastic that they could just whip up a couple servings of amazing scallops! And so glad your parents loved them. That's great! Disney magic for sure.

t the end of the tasting they gave us a Mickey rice crispy treat, which I left behind in the hotel and never got to eat sadly
That is sad! One of our favorite treats, but in every shop it seems... I'm sure there are more where that came from!

On the way over to Franck's we saw a bride in Cinderella's Carriage
Makes me cry every time... sniffle... so beautiful!

The Cake Tasting!

Omg I am beyond jealous. That looks so delicious! I can't wait to get through the next week so I can take a break from my diet and eat some sweets (and wedding cake)!

Congratulations on such a fun step in your planning. Sounds like there is much more fun to come especially since you are renewing your passes. I would love to hear more about your Marriott villa, we are turning into grumpy old folks who like the extra space.

And happy belated first Mother's Day! :flower3: I hope you had fun celebrating with your mom.

Glad the wedding tasting went so well even if you ended up not liking some of the dishes. Better to know now than later! Those chicken satays look so good and what is better than Disney Cake?

Oh reservation drama! I'm glad you got it sorted out - planning trips with others always creates some drama to happen.

Your tastings are so exciting! Your bouquet inspiration is very pretty. Enjoy the planning for your wedding!
Thank you! It was really fun tasting everything.

I'm glad TP was able to find the Cali Grill adr for you. I know how frustrating getting ADRs can be. You should definitely do a wedding week review. That would be so fun to follow. I'm going to miss all your dining reports.
That reservation finder is the best thing ever. I'm really happy everything turned out okay. Since I'm such a planner and do everything in advance it was stressful doing everything last second. I'm glad you've enjoyed all my reviews over the past year. I think I'll definitely do a wedding week dining review, we have a lot of restaurants booked that I'm excited about. :)

Wow, what great food you are going to have at the wedding. I can't wait to try it all :P Seriously though, odd they wouldn't let you try everything you were considering. As much as I am sure you are paying you think you could try everything you were interested in and widdle from there.
:) I am really excited about the food. I know a lot of brides don't eat at their wedding and I fully intend to eat everything lol. They limit you to 8 items and I just realized they never included the vegetables I had wanted to try so we only ended up trying 7. I'm still waiting for the final amount so right now I don't even know how much everything is coming out to. They told me to pick items I was unsure of and not ones I'd know I'd like.

Great you were able to get your CG brunch worked out. I currently am searching for a dinner there for my birthday and August so you've given me hope. We don't normally plan, but we'll have some friends with us so the party is larger than normal.
Definitely sign up for the reservation finder, it made looking so much less stressful. Before I knew about it was stalking the website hoping to stumble upon a dropped reservation. Definitely don't give up hope I'm sure you'll be able to get it.

Only 10 days from wedding day for me so I have been AWOL from the dining reports but had to pop in here to see your tasting highlights!!!
How exciting it's almost here! pixiedust:Early congrats!!

Wow that would be odd to have all these lovely dinner items for breakfast but I can't say I would hate it!! Filet for breakfast yummmm
When I first realized we were eating first thing in the morning I thought it would be really weird, but it turned out not to be weird at all and the food was all so good. Loved the filet, it's definitely what I'm ordering.

Everything sounds fabulous! I hope you got a menu for a keepsake
They did let us take them :)

Rude! Haha. I guess it's not rude at all but we had SO MUCH FOOD at our tasting... it was a full meal for sure. It was more food than I thought we were going to taste, but I definitely wish they had let us try a few more items. I'm excited to see how everything comes together on the day.

That's fantastic that they could just whip up a couple servings of amazing scallops! And so glad your parents loved them. That's great! Disney magic for sure.
I'm so glad they were able to do this since it ended up being what we picked to have on the menu.

That is sad! One of our favorite treats, but in every shop it seems... I'm sure there are more where that came from!
One day I'll try one, I love the normal type never had them at Disney before. Was sad I forgot them.

Makes me cry every time... sniffle... so beautiful!
I'm still waiting on Disney for confirmation that I can have the carriage, so fingers crossed I can get it.

Omg I am beyond jealous. That looks so delicious! I can't wait to get through the next week so I can take a break from my diet and eat some sweets (and wedding cake)!
The cake was really good. And I just read that the Royal Wedding happening this weekend is having Lemon cake so it's like I'm them lol.

Congratulations on such a fun step in your planning. Sounds like there is much more fun to come especially since you are renewing your passes. I would love to hear more about your Marriott villa, we are turning into grumpy old folks who like the extra space.
It was a really long exhausting day, but it was really fun planning all the details of the wedding. And I can't wait for all my future Disney trips, we'll be back in June for a weekend. The villa is really nice, I just didn't like having to drive on I4 to get to the parks everyday. The villa itself was huge, it was a two bedroom with a washer/dryer and full kitchen and living room. The master had a king bed and a whirl bathtub and the other room had a queen. It was only around $300 for 4 nights which is amazing compared to Disney prices.

And happy belated first Mother's Day! :flower3: I hope you had fun celebrating with your mom.
Thank you :) It was really nice going to the brunch at California Grill with my mom

Glad the wedding tasting went so well even if you ended up not liking some of the dishes. Better to know now than later!
That's why I tried to pick a lot of dishes I was unsure about. I was really happy to know how things will taste on the day and the presentation. Almost everything was perfect.

Those chicken satays look so good and what is better than Disney Cake?
The chicken satays were really good, they will be saving us a plate since we'll be taking pictures during the cocktail hour. And The cake is delicious, can't wait to see it all put together.

Oh reservation drama! I'm glad you got it sorted out - planning trips with others always creates some drama to happen.
It definitely is a lot more complicated when going with others. I'm glad it worked out in the end.

Citricos Dinner

upload_2018-5-23_8-5-38.png

We finished up our Wedding Planning Session just in time to go to our dinner at Citricos. This was one of my last minute ADRs, my dad really wanted to eat here and since we'd already be at the hotel it made sense. It was my first time dining here, but everyone else had been before.

We had a little time to kill before our reservation so we went into the lobby of the Grand Floridian Villas to relax for a moment. I've never been in here before, but will be staying here for the wedding. We decided to do our first look in front of the penguin fountain. I find it really cute, but Mary Poppins also was a big part of the week I got engaged. We watched the movie Mary Poppins, watched the movie Saving Mr. Banks which is about the creation of the movie Mary Poppins and we watched a documentary about the two musicians who wrote all the music for the movie. (For those that don't remember I was super sick on my engagement cruise and spent a lot of time in the room watching movies) I had wanted to do something Mary Poppins themed, but couldn't think of anything until I saw this fountain.

The menu. Our waitress was very interesting. The way she described food was like she was on one of those numbers you call for a good time. She'd be all sensual and describe the food with this low husky voice that made it funny and uncomfortable to listen to her. I was also wearing a birthday button and it was the first time I didn't get a free dessert at Disney.

upload_2018-5-23_8-19-29.png

So, by the time I got the picture of the bread the really great one was almost gone. It's this olive bread that was so good it barely lasted a moment when placed on the table.

upload_2018-5-23_8-20-22.png

We ordered champagne for the table to celebrate the upcoming wedding and my birthday.

upload_2018-5-23_8-20-56.png

I took an artsy picture of my champagne.

upload_2018-5-23_8-21-47.png

My mom's dish. She got the Wild-caught Halibut with Saffron Jasmine Rice, Cedar Key Clams, Calico Scallops, Chorizo Vinaigrette

She really enjoyed this. My dad and her like to split their meals with each other to be able to try different things.

upload_2018-5-23_8-23-49.png

My Fiance and I both got the scallops so I only took one picture. Scallop Risotto with Butternut Squash Purée, Roasted Parsnip, Perigord Truffle, Scallop Jus.

This was really good. The scallops were cooked to perfection and the risotto was really delicious. I'm not a big fan of butternut squash, but I actually really enjoyed it.

upload_2018-5-23_8-26-35.png

My dad's meal. Quinoa and Provençale Ratatouille with Tomato Confit, Basil, Seasonal Vegetables, Wild Mushroom, Chickpea Sauce

He really liked this and so did my mom.

After dinner we parted ways. My parents went back to the villa and my Fiance and I went to Magic Kingdom. We went on a bunch of rides and then decided to watch the fireworks in front of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. You can't see the projections, but you can hear the music and see the fireworks perfectly and there was no crowd. I will definitely watch fireworks from here again. It had worked out perfectly that we got off the ride just as the firework show started. (I miss the redhead scene)

upload_2018-5-23_8-28-54.png

We were originally going to Uber back to the villa, but my parents were nice enough to drive and pick us up. All in all it was a great day with a lot of delicious food.

Up next quick service at Epcot and Victoria and Albert's...

Looks like you all had a great meal at Citricos despite your 1-900 phone operator as a server :-) I had a similar scallop dish on our last visit and I loved it too.

Happy belated birthday!

Thank you! I only just stopped celebrating my birthday lol. The meal was really great I can't wait to go back there one day.

Trip 9 - 5/10-5/13
Victoria and Albert's

Saturday we split up during the day. My Fiance and I went to Epcot for most of the day, while my parents hung out at the hotel.

upload_2018-5-30_15-18-44.png

For lunch we stopped by the Quick Service in the China pavilion. I've always enjoyed the food here and typically get the spicy beef with noodles. It was pretty good, there were some parts that were cold, but overall it was good. My Fiance got the orange chicken and enjoyed this. We didn't want to eat too much today since we had dinner at Victoria and Albert's.

We had a 6:30pm reservation and drove over to the Grand Floridian hotel. Valet is included with dinner here, but my dad didn't want to valet. The valet guys were pretty confused when my dad said he was just dropping us off and going to park himself.

Victoria and Albert's is located on the second floor next to Citricos. There is a frosted door that only opens if you have a reservation.

The drink menu. I like that the prices for a cocktail aren't outrageous.

The ten course menu

The seven course menu. Which is horribly photographed I'm sorry.

The pretty plate that no one ever gets to eat off of.

My mom got a glass of wine, I'm not sure which one she went with.

I got a cocktail that was delicious. It's made with Hungarian liquor.

My parents are mostly vegetarian, but will eat fish, so they had a different menu than my fiance and I. My dad and I decided to get the 10 courses, while my Fiance and mom decided on the 7 courses.

We started off with an amuse bouche. This was for the 10 courses. It had asparagus and caviar. I didn't think I'd like the caviar, which I've only tried one time before at this restaurant and found it way too salty. This was a different type of caviar and was really smooth and creamy.

For the seven courses they received a piece of fish. I'm sorry so many of my pictures came out so dark. I'm not sure what was in this exactly, I didn't get to try any and it isn't listed on the menu.

Trip 9 - 5/10-5/13
Victoria and Albert's continued

This was the first course for my Fiance and mom. It was Ahi Tuna served with a spicy mustard aoli. My parents split most of their meals between them, but my Fiance and I didn't really share any of the courses.

My first course was the langoustine (which is a New Zealand type of Lobster) It was served with an edamame puree. This was delicious and perfectly cooked. I've wanted to try this since I first went here, but had never done the 10 courses before so it was always off limits.

So I didn't take any notes and can't really remember what my parents had or my Fiance, since the menu picture is a little blurry. I apologize, I thought I had taken better pictures at the time, but I had a few drinks at dinner and am a bit of light weight. So there are a few pictures I really am not sure what they were eating, but I can say that there was nothing served that wasn't amazingly delicious.

My second course was stripped bass with poppy seed and lemon ravioli. I am not a big fish person and I really enjoyed this.

My dad and I had the Dover sole, but mine had Spanish Charizo and his did not. This was presented so prettily and was so good. I had a lot of fish this night and on a normal basis I eat creamy tuna fish and that's about it.

Instead of veal I had a vegetarian quiche. It was really delicious and I just felt bad about eating a baby cow so I asked to change up this course.

My mom got the upcharge item Wild Turbot. She really enjoyed this and I did have a little bite. It might be that I'm not a fish person, but I didn't find this particular fish worth the added charge.

The truffle infused bread was so good. We ended up getting two because the last time we went we weren't served all three bread courses by accident and they did this to make up for it.

The matching butter.
