Sorry, I hadn't gotten back. It's cool that you decided to make this the offical thread! I'm not sure everything that goes into it. I think it's mostly adding people's dates and hotels. The October thread for this year has MNSSHP info on it, but as there isn't any right now you wouldn't need to do that.

Currently we're undecided as to where we're staying. Most likely it will be POP. However, I'm getting an annual pass when I go down this Oct so I have to see what kind of deals we'll get.

Again, I really want to do it, but I won't know what will be more cost effective with the annual pass, and I was going to get Tables in Wonderland which gets me 20% off most restaurants.

I was already making plans with the friend I'm going with about where we should eat. We're going down for my bday, and Beauty and the Beast has been my favorite restaurant since I was a kid. I'm thinking that will have to be where we have dinner that night. I'm already so excited that I added the date on this countdown app I have on my phone and it's over a year away. Lol!

We went to MNSSHP back in 2014 and we LOVED it!! For the longest time, we were going to be going in May of 2017 but MNSSHP made me switch to October. Plus we missed the parade last time due to the weather.

Yes, we've done quick service and table service before. The dining plan isn't for everyone, for us it's just about convenience. I just tack it on when we book the trip, look at the total and that's that. I really, truly value having it all paid for ahead of time, but I have no idea if we come out ahead or not next to paying out of pocket. It is usually just the two of us, so we do quite a few signatures and pay oop for some cheaper meals.

Last time in 2014 we did quick service for a 9 night stay - we discovered that trip that we need a sit down dinner each night!
So this trip is again 9 nights, but looking forward to sitting down, being served, having a cocktail and just relaxing each evening. Some nights we will do earlier dinners and go back to park, other nights we will schedule a later dinner and wind down. I'm pleased we will now get two snacks instead of a dessert with my quick service - that means we can use both snack credits on our food/wine days!

Yeah, this is kind of the reason I struggle with deciding on the dining plan or not. I don't know what I'll be feeling like on a given day. Someone had said that they planned a table meal for lunch every day so that they could relax and refresh for the evening. I have that planned for my upcoming trips so I'll have to see how it works for me. I mostly want to do it for the same reason you said, convenience. I just want to pay for my trip and then go and enjoy it, not try to figure out a budget the entire time.

I found this calculator on Pinterest that is supposed to help you figure out the values based on what restaurants you're planning on eating and how many snacks you'll eat a day. I'll have to keep working with it and decide. Thank you for your insight!
