Hotel in Jacksonville pre cruise

looking for recommendations for a one night stay before boarding for our next cruise. I would prefer something near things to do. Dinner and beach. We will be parking at the terminal so cruise parking at the hotel is not an issue. 2 adults, 2 teens.

I'd stay in St Augustine (since having a car isn't an issue); lots to do there. Or around the World Golf Village.

There are some nice hotels along the St Johns in downtown Jax. Along the A1A puts you by the ocean.
Avoid the hotels in Orange Park and near Baymeadows, as well as the north/west sides of town.

At the beach in Jacksonville, you could try the One Ocean Resort and Spa. It's on the beach and there are lots of restaurants in close walking distance. There are also some nice chain hotels on the beach a few blocks south.

You might also try Amelia Island, an easy drive to the terminal.
