How do ADRs work when you juggle room reservations?

I wound up booking CBR for Memorial Day week through Disney so that I could start booking ADRs today. But I may wind up swapping room reservations around if I can get a better deal, including the possibility of booking through a third party.

I assume that if I just change through Disney, I keep the ADRs. What happens if I book through a third party and cancel the CBR reservation? Does it matter if I wait until the entire period is within the 180 day time frame?

Remember, people can book ADR who aren't even staying on property, so your ADR has nothing at all to do with your resort stay. All you need is a resort reservation to book the +10, otherwise, anyone can book at 180 days. Once they are booked, the system doesn't care if you have a resort stay or not.
