Thank you for the strategy! Are you familiar with how long the bus ride is to CBR from MK? I was thinking about just taking the bus from the Poly to HS to simplify the process, but have no idea how much time to expect either bus ride to take! We are only visiting WDW for the weekend and will only have MNSSHP tickets so we have a little exploration time on our hands thus trip
Its easy to approximate travel time by using mapquest or Google just be sure you type "Disney xyz resort" for it to come up & be sure to put in any layways. For a bus, add 10ish minutes for slowness & for MK make sure its the bus depot & not TTC. They sometimes take a 'bus only' super secrete back route, but again its good for approximating. Putting in CR would be more accurate as its across street from MK buses. Plan on 25 minutes once bus rolls away from MK.
The real roll of the dice you have is 'how long will I wait to board a bus at MK? " and no one can answer that now. The secondary issue is "how long will we wait at MK before leaving to CBR?" and no one can answer that either. Depends on if drivers are swapping, if there's a lot of people to unload &/or reload & if there's ECV's to unload/load, if its mid-day slow they sit & allow boarding for a while.
The official Disney line is to allow 1-1.5 hours to transfer from resort to resort & its not a bad rule of thumb...even using Skyliner.
You just can't pre-guess how long you'll wait to get to MK, then wait again to get to CBR, you'll likely have negligible wait at CBR as far as lines but MANY reports of stoppages 10-15 min during operation.
You just can't be in a hurry using Disney transport
If you're in a hurry, you need to consider other transport options.
