Anyone remember how long it takes to get the Barclays Biz when approved? Wondering if I got one for dh if it would arrive in a week?

By convert it, do you mean you were able to up the category? I have the lowest category one.
Convert is the magic word you can use to TRY and get them to upgrade it. If you use the word upgrade you'll be done for apparently. I will post my screen shots of what to say but you can also reference flyer talk and there is a whole thread about them.

Tell us more about this...how did it “not work”? Did they call you out on it? Was it awkward??
Hmm I gave DHs name when they asked, gave last 4 of CC. Then they asked for more identifying info, Mother’s maiden name, etc. which is fine, I applied for the card and set up the online account. No problem answering. Then even though I called the number from the Travel page, the guy said he’d now need to transfer me to a Travel Specialist, and ended with “Thanks Ma’m” o_O Travel Specialist started with the same questions but wanted the full card number, which I didn’t have. I said I didn’t have the card with me, and she said I’d have to go back to the main Chase person to verify identity. When I said I had already done that she said she couldn’t help me. Since I’d already been on the phone 20 minutes, I gave up and hung up.

Today I had automatic approval for the Citi Biz AA card! It even had a crazy $25,000 credit limit. I went for the 75,000 miles offer since the plan is to use it for my mortgage and that is sadly easy to meet in 3 months.

I misread this as you saying you would hit your 25k CL in 3 months via your mortgage and my eyes just bout fell out of my head hahaha

Do not panic...Mixed reports on AA biz w/out mailer working now...

So like I said...do not panic. There are mixed reports from reputable reddit posters saying that bonuses may not be linked or posting for subsequent AA biz cards (using public offer). There are reports on both sides of the fence. I would not overreact yet as this could simply be a glitch. I’d hate to think anybody would lie just to protect this valuable loophole - and I’m about 99% sure that the one user who is a mod with me on r/churningreferrals would not lie about this.

Who here has signed up for AA biz #2 via a public offer and seem the bonus post in the past week or so? I think we should continue to share DPs here on anybody pursuing this.

Did anybody else read this info today in the discussion thread? (It was a post fairly early in the day). I’d be interested in any and all thoughts on this...

:scared1: Officially panicking! I'll know in a few days.

I did get the response to my match request saying they would give me the add'l 20k. Doesn't that mean they know I have 40k coming??

@wendow!!! You panicked...when I specifically asked you not to??? :P

Like I said - these are VERY mixed reports right now. People are saying they got no bonus. People are saying they got the match and the bonus. I don't know what to make of all of it - but if they MATCHED you to an offer, it seems that they would have to acknowledge that you had AN OFFER to begin with. This is definitely something we want to monitor but I'd feel confident if I were you that you are going to get your points.

I've been really on the fence about whether I'd do the 40k+$250 or 75k offer. This recent news may just swing me over to the 75k offer as I do have a mailer code available to me. I just think everybody needs to monitor the situation and make their own (somewhat) informed decisions... I really with I could provide more clarity, but it isn't there. Of course, I could also keep this hush hush but that doesn't exactly benefit anybody either...or is ignorance bliss in this particular one???

I don't have time to mess around! My plan D only works with these points. You, of course, know that. Sigh. Once again, this is a reminder that it's ever-changing. Accrue your points early and be ready to keep changing the plan as you need to.

Definitely feeling a bit confident that I will get my points. Statement closes on the 20th so should know soon. Hopefully more DP's roll in.

so now that the wheels are turning the citi biz aa card for DH. If I apply for him now it says 70k offer. what is the value of this card if we end up not using it for disney hotels?
ETA which offer is a better value the 70k or 40k? I can meet the spend using plastiq with the mortgage so thats not the limiting factor. Just trying to figure out which is a better offer and with including plastiq 1% fee.

My offer today was 75,000 after $5000 spend in 5 months. AF waived. I got the link of the 75,000 off on Doctor of Credit. My plan is to just use the mortgage for it. I have been using the Arrival Plus. I think the value just depends. I have horrible luck I think and so didn’t want to deal with trying to get an offer matched. I also didn’t want to deal with a statement credit/gift card.

I misread this as you saying you would hit your 25k CL in 3 months via your mortgage and my eyes just bout fell out of my head hahaha

No my $1800 a month mortgage is enough! :)

I do like Plastiq just because getting something for that money every month. Points help neutralize the fees.

The part of this that is most concerning is the "mixed results" I do feel confident you'll get your points. I also feel pretty confident that Gonzo is telling the truth on r/churning that he didn't get his points. He met the MSR a full week before his statement closed...

If this becomes a "crap-shoot" how do you decide whether to do it or not...It will be interesting to watch...

A week might be pushing it. Seems like mine was about 10 days.

Have your Amex points posted yet? I had that happen a couple years ago with Amex and DH’s card. So frustrating!

If it becomes a 'crap shoot', I will go with the sure thing ALL DAY LONG. Even if I have to pay for a mailer. Though right after the no mailer thing needed came up, I got biz mailers for my dd and two of my plants. Weird timing :confused3

Off to read the r/churning link.

Not joking. I would never ask if I could stay at someone’s house. Especially if they haven’t moved in and gotten acclimated to a new place. I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t stay even if someone offered without me asking. I would never impose on friends or relatives like that.

I only do with my BFF but that's also because I want to visit her and she's spending at least some of the time with me. I did do it with another friend but that's because the trip was already planned and I found out like a week + before I left that the friend who had offered to let me stay had her boyfriend (whom was shady af and thankfully was gone not much later) living with her and no way was I staying there then. The other friend had had a head's up as we'd been talking about it and knew it could potentially happen so it wasn't awful.

I don't mind if it's for a day or two on your way to/from somewhere but if that's the case don't expect me to do anything with/for you other than maybe a dinner. But I'll invite you and I'd be fine with a few friends inviting themselves but they'd be the same one's I'd do the same. Different when it's just one person though and when the main reason for the trip is to see the person you're staying with.

But I do agree, at least let them move in and get settled and don't think of it as your hotel because you don't want to pay for one.

I am looking at the Citi ThankYou portal for activities and Disney VIP Tour service comes up...

How did I not know this?!
Sorry to burst the bubble...but that isn't an official Disney VIP tour... I believe that same picture and title is used in the UR portal and on the AAvacations site...

Here's how it's described on AAvacations:
Disney VIP Tour Experiences - Disney World (Orlando, FL)
We are a private VIP company providing a VIP Private Assistant to Disney World. Amusement Parks can be stressful with long wait times. In fact, Walt Disney World is the size of San Francisco or 2x the size of Manhattan making it hard to visit alone. Don’t worry, we will get you to the right places! Our team will create a customized itinerary based on your needs and preferences. Experience quick access to rides, meet your favorite characters, select seats at shows, parades, and fireworks. This experience allows you to visit one of the four theme parks per day with your own VIP Private Assistant, including Disney's Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot, or Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Duration 6 hours
Man...I'm really a buzzkill today...Everybody on the thread to me right now:
