Illuminations Dining Package at Rose and Crown

I noticed earlier this week that the dates on the calendar past 9/30/19 are back to being "grayed out", i.e. they're not blue, and I can't click on them. Is this the case for everyone else?

me too! I really want to book this! Boo!

I can't imagine they could possibly put a wheel chair at the table blocking the gate, just not enough room!
We had that table and it was not a pleasant experience for all the reasons mentioned previously. You can also add in that they took the umbrellas down a full 15 min before the show started and our entrees came out in the dark even tho we ordered before others who had theirs. This really caught me off guard as well, BUGS that were on our food while trying to eat in the dark. Of course you expect bugs but just not that many trying to swat them away in the dark. We also had people behind us in that railing area that were beyond rude. Lastly no way to complain because the gals in charge completely disappeared at the end. I know this is a whole lot of negatives but we always have a good time and I always take reviews with a grain of salt but this was EXACTLY as others have said.

Really wanted to like this and book again down the road but those bugs ewww haha

Does anyone know what happens during evening EMH? Do they kick you out right at 9 still or can you linger?

If you are not staying on property, during EMH, I don't think you will be asked to leave but they won't let you on any rides and once you leave a section of the park, you won't be allowed back into that section (or any other lands), so in effect they are herding you towards the exit. I think you can linger on Main Street and do some shopping and maybe grab some food.

Sorry for the confusion, I was just wondering if you could stay at your table and enjoy more drinks since the park isn't closing right away.

My bad - this is the Dining at Rose and Crown thread, I should have figured that out. I don't know the answer to your question.

We are doing the package on a Friday night when (Epcot Forever) is showing at 10:00. Does the checking still begin at 8:00 and we just have more time before the fireworks or do we check in at 9:00? I wouldn't mind just staying at the table and have a relaxing dinner.

My friend is going Feb. 2020. She really wants to do the Illuminations dining package but the dates don't appear available to book. She made a regular reservation at 7:30. Is there still an area that they take you to for people who have a regular reservation but want to view Illuminations. I had previously read that there is some sort of patio location that they can take patrons to? Thanks!

Yes; diners who did not book the package are escorted by their server to a viewing area, off to the side. It is luck of the draw, whether or not they will be able to see everything, depending on how many others may already be in place at the best spots in the viewing area.

For those of you who have done this did any of you have a 10pm IllumiNations that night? I have a ressie for this on Saturday night and IllumiNations is at 10pm. My conformation email says to show up at 8pm, but MDE says 9pm. Just wondering what you all did. I figured I will show up at 8, or stop earlier, and clarify.

I am wondering if anyone has had any issues with standing up when the show starts? My adult sign is on the shorter side, so thinking if he would stand without disrupting anyone it might work better for him. I know early reports said it was fine, but haven't heard any recent reports.

We were sat at a table for two positioned behind and between two front row tables. When the lady and child sitting on my husband side stood up, his view was obstructed.
thank you, that is what I wanted to know. I think in the very early days of the package they were not seating both rows.
What if we are seated in the back row, would it work then?

jil512 would you let us know if you should be at the ressie for 8 or 9. We have a ressie in three weeks on a Friday and would like to know ahead of time when to be at R & C. I had asked the same question earlier in the thread but it too hasn't been answered. TIA
