Is there anything wrong with tourist traps?

Does anyone remember Stuckey's? They were the epitome of tourist traps! I remember begging my Dad to stop there on the drive to Florida back in the day. I loved the kitsch and the pecan logs!

They may have been a tourist trap but they were also the only place to stop to go to the bathroom!

Well, there were gas stations, but the lack of cleanliness was legendary. Sometimes just the stench alone was enough to convince you to hold it until you could reach somewhere else!
