Join us for a private RIP tour of HHN on Sunday, Oct 28, 2018 at 6:00 PM.

Last few days to join - still 3 slots in this tour. HHN is a madhouse this year. Do every house multiple times on tour, and skip all the lines. If 3 more join, it will be almost the same price as a public RIP tour, and last for almost double the time.

We have 7 booked for this tour, and can take up to 3 more. Contact me if interested.

We're looking for people to share the costs and the expertise of a private tour guide. This means you will get front of the line access to each house, as many times as we can do it!!

About us: We are a 47 year old couple from the Philly area, and are being joined by a group of 3 from Hawaii. This is our 2nd Private tour, and we went to the Macraven School of Private Tour Organization, so it'll be a good one.

This will be our sixth HHN. We started out just doing the haunt, then we added Express passes. We've noticed that the haunt seems to get more crowded each year. We then did a public RIP tour, and had such a great experience, that we decided to up the ante with a private tour. Now we can never go back. The private tour is just that good. Zero wait times all night.

What's the difference in Private vs Public?

Private tour starts earlier (6 pm) and ends later (park close vs a fixed amount of time).

Private tour is limited to 10 people (12 for the public tour) Public tour provides front of the line access for each house once; with the private tour, you can visit each house as many times as you can before the park closes at 2:00 AM.

Public tour is fixed cost per person. Private tour cost changes depending on the number of people that join us.

The details:

* Private RIP tour booked for Sunday Oct 28, 6:00 PM.
* Tour guide will be with us until the park closes (2:00 AM) except for a 30-minute break.
* We will create the touring plan with the tour guide.
* Our plan is to tour each house at least twice. There are 2 casts for each house, and we'd like to see each one. We do not plan to use the tour guide for many rides, but can be flexible if people really want to do some.
* We plan to skip the Army of Villains dance show. However, if you are set on seeing it, I'm sure we can work that out. We do have VIP seating for it.
* We will see the Scare Zones as time permits

I am not making any money on this tour. We will divide the cost evenly by # of ppl, up to 10. The more people, the cheaper the per person cost. The only things not included are park entry and tour guide gratuities (recommended at 10%).

Please PM me with any questions. We Look forward to meeting you.

Hope you fill your tour!

Once you are in a private, you’ll be spoiled by how much you can cover with out long waits

One more post about the large crowds and long house wait in the park, peeps will be eager to join your group

When I get a break I will call Universal to see if I can use the ticket that came with my annual pass for admission.
I need to find out the dates.
We do need a separate ticket in addition to the tour , right ?

To do the tours, you need the HHN ticket
Private tours this year, some meet their tour guide at a specific time at LaBamba after the holder of the tour checks in with Vip tour office.

Park tickets are required to be in the park once it is 5:00 on hhn dates.

But, DarkOne can contact VIP tours to see if it will be required to have a day ticket to do the tour.

Last year I was able to get 2 people that were in my tour group in the park (as they were in my tour.)
They had the hhn ticket but not day park ticket.
They were allowed in at 6:00 as our meet up time with the guide was at 6:00

I did not have an issue with that, but they had to meet me at Vip tours at the front of the park for verification.l
We walked back with an employee to LaBamba

They did not have the day park ticket.

I dont have day tickets this year also. Let my annual pass expire this past july as we were not going back to UO or IOA for non HHN until 2020 or so. Did not want to be paying AP for not using them for 2 years.

I will ask Steve if we can meet guide earlier like Mcraven did at 500pm? Steve mentioned meeting at 6pm and guide starting at 630pm. I would rather get in early and maybe hit a few rides first as that early as there is still daylight and it detracts a little from the houses with props outdoors.

My private tour starts to meet at 5:30 as our tour starts at 6:00

Not all tours start at the same time

Since you have a later start, don’t think you will be let in early enough to do rides

The ride lines stops at 5:00
And the park is closed
Those on rides can finish them
They are escorted out of the park by staff

If you want to do rides, you will need to buy the day ticket

I know this not what you wanted to read but UO is strict on closing the park on time for hhn preparation

As Macraven said, they stagger the times. I will absolutely ask for an earlier start, but they were pretty firm with meeting at 6 pm, 30 mins past than Mac's. But yes, the rides are all closed by then. The only people in the park are in the specially noted holding areas (formerly Stay & Scream), waiting for the park to be cleared.

Since all tour groups meet up at LaBamba, only a specific number of tours are scheduled per half hour

When the first tours leave, the next scheduled tours will be let into that building

Later start times are ideal

It is a lot darker in the houses once the sun sets

And darker in the houses
Later tour start is a good thing!

An earlier start time will allow us to go on a ride first? Might be a good way to start as it is still light out and the houses are better in the dark. I cant remember if the rides are running that early as we are usually at Finnegans and walk to the houses when they let us out of the holding areas. Any one know if the rides start that early? Thanks

Rides stop at 5:00
If you are in the line, you will ride

When I go solo, I get in the ET line at 4:57.
I don’t start on that ride path until about 5:15 if there be many in front of me

I get off the ride about 5:35 and go to the holding area at the Simpsons then
I have a shorter wait then for starting houses when the park reopens

Most rides cut off the line for entry by 5:00

It is still light then did the dates I m at hhn
Depend on when you are at hhn for how light it will be at closing
