How crowded are the parks on July 4. Are they unbearably crowded.

YES-YES-YES!! Very crowded but" STILL GOOD" With advance planning, getting there when they open, use of fast pass, and definitely taking breaks(it is HOT also) you can still have a great day!! We were there for July 4th in 2000 and had great day! We did not stay for the nite time fireworks(which are AWESOME) we were staying at the GF and watched them from there. Joan:smooth:

We will be there too! We plan on arriving on July 3rd, doing EMH at AK on the 4th (til about noon), then head back to the POLYNESIAN where we are staying and swim all afternoon. We will probably watch the fireworks from the beach there!

How does that sound? Any 4th of July veterans?

Thanks!
Karen

We were there this past July 4th and loved it. we stayed clear of MK, but found Studios and EPCOT to be reasonable for the time of year.

That week we had very good luck at MK as well, Satuday before we WALKED into the strectchroom at Haunted Mansion and right onto a boat for Pirates. Be flexible and you should be fine.

We've been to WDW 3 different years over the 4th of July - each one we spent at MK - it's crowded, but not unbearable, and it's FUN! You can't beat the fireworks from inside MK on the 4th - they are over the castle and over the front entrance, so if you are on main street, they are in front of and behind you - and THEN, just before the finale, the park is RINGED with fireworks and you are in the center. The crowd makes it even more fun. (last 4th the crowd chanted USA, USA - very emotional time). I would definetely go on the 4th and be inside MK!
