Four adults - me, DH, DSIL, DBIL, stayed at AKL & BCV (will post thread on resort boards later).
AK - (4 days)
The Great:
Pandora - gorgeous, lots of little details if you take the time to look
FOP - INTENSE, needed to do it 3 times to be sure I liked it Used FP 3 times, stand-by once before closing time (45 min wait, posted at 100 mins).
EE - DH loves this ride - used FP and single rider until spring break crowd amped up the wait times. One note: wish they'd fix the Yeti.
Gorilla Trail - lots of gorilla antics made this one great (3 times!)
Caring for Giants Tour - awesome; friendly, enthusiastic guides; great cultural rep from Namibia; closer look behind the scenes at the wonderful elephants.
Rafiki's Planet Watch Behind the Scenes tour - Nutrition Center, Vet Hospital - knowledgeable, friendly guide (Dan); interesting facts about each area; added bonus was talking to a vet, seeing a naked mole rat post surgery.
Africa - Entertainment in Harambe area (drummers, dancers, instrumentalists) - lots of talent here; lots of interaction with guests; very enjoyable.
FotLK - wonderful show for all ages; no FP needed; great location if it's raining!
The Good:
NRJ - Used FP; very pretty; technologically awesome; it's another boat ride though and I'm tired of the 'send a boat through scenes from a movie' idea.
KS - animals were active & close; safari drivers were simply boring (4 different drivers, same demeanor, same script, no innovation, no humor, no interaction)
Maharaja Trek - always fun, but no baby tigers (tried 3 times); some guides were personable but others were simply standing around not talking to anyone.
Santu'li Canteen - great food; plenty of tables; hate the 'cattle call' feel of this kind of QS; CM's were grumpy.
Kali River Rapids - perfect on a sunny day; fun ride; locker area is WAY too small & cramped.
The Meh:
RoL - Lovely lighting & graphics; didn't seem to flow (no pun intended); uninspiring (prefer Illuminations or Fanstamic where the story is more clear); was thankful for the seating area while waiting for EE riders during the day.
Harambe Market - food might be good but it was too crowded each time we tried to eat there; not enough seating; unclear ordering procedure.
Dinosaur - ride was good when it was up & running (FP); photographer wouldn't allow us to sit in seating area at exit to wait for riders - he said area was reserved for photos?
Quiet paths - Sought out a quiet area to rest our weary feet but found a smoking area instead; wishing for more benches and quiet spots that are smoke-free.
Saving the planet, etc. - Got tired of hearing this at every turn; numerous mentions of Disney Conservation Fund and how we can contribute; not necessary or entertaining.
Dang, tried to keep this short...
