YAY! We are here! Our cast...me 51, DH 51, DD 19, DDBF (boyfriend)19. WE are staying in the cabins and are not on the dining plan but we do have a DDE card. We come twice per year and mostly wing it for meals and do a few at the cabin. Our ressies for this trip are LeCllier--lunch, WCC--Lunch, Boma--dinner and Ohana--dinner. LeCeller, Boma and WCC are new for us.

We did LeCellier with the CP package. I have wanted to try this one for awhile and thought it would be great for the CP. But I have been hearing so many negative things lately I was a little worried. All for naught! Our ADR was for 2:30. We checked in at 2:16 and were seated within 20 minutes. We were escorted to our seats and the seater explained the significance of the different areas representing the different provinces. We sat for awhile and just when I was starting to get a little antsy the manager came over and said our waiter was "a little busy" and could he get our drink and appie orders! Then two minutes later another waitress with a worried look asked if we had been taken care of yet. Our server, Patrick, finally came over and was great. Very friendly and helpful. Then manager came over again to make sure everythiing was ok. From the point the manager came and got our drink orders everything came out in a timely manner. DD and I had the cheese soup. We both liked it. DDBF had the steak kabob which he shared with us. Also very good and nicely cooked. DH had the shrimp which I didnt think he would like but he did. As for the bread; we enjoyed the multigrain best, the pretzel bread was just ok. For main dishes I had the petit filet. It was very good and tender. I ordered it medium rare and it came a little more toward rare but still good. The potatoes were great! DH had the 10 oz strip steak but with mashed potatoes instead of the yukon potatoes. DDBF had the 10 oz strip also but with the yukon potatoes and a side of Mashed. DD had the steak tips with udon noodles ..and a side of mashed potatoes! Ummm, we like mashed potatoes! The steaks received approval from the boys. DD liked her dish Which I tasted. It was very good. And the potatoes? enjoyed by all! :thumbsup2 For dessert we had 3 creme brulees and DH had the double berry buckle. Thumbs up for the brulee. I liked the maple best. DH enjoyed the buckle but it wasnt "wonderful"

So even after the trepidation from reviews here we were really glad we tried LeCellier. We finished at 4:15, walked over to the CP line and got there just as they were entering the theater. I dont think it will be a "must do" for us every trip but we probably will do it again at some point.

Up next WCC for lunch but I have to go tend to the meatballs right now. We will be comng back tonight to spaghetti and meatballs here at the cabin.

Very Honest and great report. We just came home and are going back in Mar. We also have DDE and saved more than what we paid for the card. We are glad to hear LE C. was good. We are going to eat there in March!
Thanks

Enjoyed reading your review ~ Thanx for sharing.

We are finally back. Not happy about it either but we made it back in record time at least. Now on to finish the reviews.

I said WCC would be next but I forgot that we ate at Beaches & Cream our night of arrival. We had gone to MGM right after arrival to see the lights and ride some rides. Then we were going to take the boat over to Beaches for ice cream. This was a last minute unplanned meal and worked out great in our schedule. We have been here several times but had not planned to go this trip. But Fantasmic got out just as we were leaving and the boat had a huge line so we walked over! Once we got there we were hungrier than we thought so we ordered meals. DD and her DBF each ordered chili; DD with a rootbeer float and DBF with a milkshake. They enjoyed the chili and their frozen treats. I had the cheeseburger and fries and a plain rootbeer. It was fine. Not best ever but tasty and well cooked.

Sunday we went over to WCC for lunch. This was the first time we had tried any meal there. We checked in and waited about 10 minutes to be seated. We had "Maverick" as our waiter and he was good, not too over the top but friendly and efficient. The place was busy and there was some clowning around. It was a fun atmosphere but loud. Three of us had the skillet. DH had the steakburger. He said it was good. The rest of us enjoyed the skillet. None of us our very big fans of beans but I tried them and they were pretty good. Remember we love mashed potates. We thought the taters here were dry. Liked the ribs, chicken and sausage. Everybody but me got the milkshakes which were well liked by all. :thumbsup2 Maverick even refilled my daughter's "to go" which they aren't supposed to do. Although I am glad we tried WCC it wont be a must do repeat.

More to come!

Thanks for sharing your reviews, looking forward to the next installment. :maleficen

OVer the next couple of days I had to go to Tampa to take care of some stuff so I missed out on a couple of on site meals. DD and DBF went to Earl of Sandwich for lunch one day. We usually do this and they were not disappointed. They both had the Full Montague which they loved. They hit Pecos Bill's one evening just for Chili cheese fries.I got back from Tampa earlier than I expected on Thurs and everyone wanted to go to lunch. We were scheduled for Boma that night so we didnt want to have a buffet or really huge meal. I called and got a ressie for Rose & Crown right off the bat. This one we usually end up doing sometimes planned ahead sometimes not. We arrived and checked in a few minutes before our time and were seated in about 10 minutes. The restaurant was pretty busy but they were on the ball. Alex was our waiter. DH ordered the soup and sandwich which is a roast beef sandwich and potato leek soup. But he didnt want the soup and they let him get "chips" instead. He enjoyed it. The beef looked medium and was not too thinly cut. I got the beef stew which was YUM! Nice pieces of tender beef with carrots and onions in a thick gravy over....mashed potatoes :goodvibes . Very good and very filling. DD had cottage pie. I tasted this as well and it was good. DBF had fish and chips which he liked. He is from England and he always wants to go here. It is one of his favorites.

Boma....We had been looking forward to this one since last June when we started planning for this trip. Our ADR was for 9:10 and it was surprisingly busy I thought. We were seated in about 20 minutes and led to a table by the window. The waiter came and got our drink orders right away and we started on our Boma adventure. I got a little bit of most everything they had. There wasnt anything that made me want to go back for seconds though. Everything was flavorful and prepared well. I dont have a real favorite among what was offered though. DD and DBF enjoyed a lot of different things as well. DH is not very adventurous when it comes to eating so this was not one of his favorite meals. DBF pronounced it as his favorite meal of the week. DD and & enjoyed it but will not be rushing back. Loved the desserts though! I have read mixed reviews on the zebra domes but we all loved them!

Finally finishing up my review and really missing WDW. Oh well, only 127 more days until I go back.

Trail's End Breakfast--We usually hit Trail's End for breakfast once and for lunch or dinner once during each trip. This time we only did breakfast. I cant remember what time we went down but probably around 9. The place was about half full and we were seated within 5 minutes or so. They had some kind of dishwasher mishap and had all paper plates and cups and such. Although I was not exactly disappointed in the buffet it has changed some. They used to have pancakes, mickey waffles and french toast on the buffet. My favorite is the french toast. Now they only have the waffles. There were not any donuts but the muffins were really good and I liked the cinnamon rolls. They were really flaky.. Everything else was about the same; fresh fruits, plain scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs with cheese (they call this an omlette) bacon, sausage, corn beef hash, cheesy potatoes, breakfast pizza, bagels, oatmeal, cereal, grits etc. It was a little more organzed than before with seperate lines roped off for different stations. As always the wait staff was great.

Ohana--Last May was the first time we had tried Ohana. It was for my birthday and everyone loved it so we decided to go back this time. It was even better this time! Our ADR was for 9:15. We got there exactly at 9:15 and there were lots of people hanging around so I thought we would not be seated for awhile but we were seated in about 10-15 minutes. We were one table away from where were seated last May and one table away from the window. Last May I felt that we were really rushed through our meal. This time it was much more leisurely and more enjoyable. We loved all the food. We got seconds of the wings. The potatoes were wonderful. I practically ate a whole dish of them myself. The meats were all flavorful. The pork was a little dry. The steak was perfect, turkey good, sausage just ok. We were too full to have seconds of any of the meats. Of course we ate every drip and scrap of the bread pudding. AND!! we got to see the fireworks which I wasn't really counting on! A great experience.

Restaurantosaurus--This was our last day and we went back to AK mostly to see Finding Nemo. DD had already seen it and was raving. We are both involved in theater so anything on stage is a must do for us. After that I wanted a hotdog so we headed over to Restaurantosaurus. We usually do not eat at AK unless it is at Rain Forest Cafe. Anyway, this was about 4 pm and the lines were fairly long. The people taking the orders were very fast but it took awhile for them to bring up the food. We had 2 cheeseburger platters and 2 hotdog platters. There was plenty of seating. They have a toppings bar. The food was what you would expect from McDonald's. We were really hungry and it tasted good! :goodvibes

Thats about it for our trip. As for our favorites; DD, and DH liked Ohana the best this time. DDBF said it was a tie between Boma and Ohana. My fave was Ohana with R&C coming in a close second. Can't wait for the next one and I'm already checking out other peoples reviews to plan our next eating adventures
