Little ones tapping in.

Do the little ones over 3 need to tap into rides? This is the first time we are going with kids over three with their own ticket. They have their old "free" magic bands but they actually got un-linked when we booked this latest trip through a different account so we are wondering if we should buy new bands. If they will be required to tap-in at each ride, we probably will end of getting new bands for the little ones.
