Flights are booked, house is rented! Now comes the next obsession -- car rental watch!

So far, I have a mini van booked through Alamo using Costco for $397 and a standard van (looks like 8 passenger mini van) for $436 for 5/16 - 5/23. Does anyone know of any better mini van prices yet?

Following... I keep checking for May 24-30.
Midsize for $367 with Alamo right now. Hoping that’s not what I have to pay. Last trip to Disney was 2013 & I paid $99 for the week.

Right now I have a Manager's Special (can get a compact and larger) through Alamo from 5/2/20 - 5/11/20 for $395. I am hoping the prices drop significantly.

I snagged a Minivan reservation with Alamo for $389 yesterday using Costco code for May 24-30. Today it’s $451. Still hoping it comes down.

Just was able to get a minivan from alamo from 5/16 to 5/30 for $870 using coupon AU5592DJK and passholder contract 860292. That's still really high but better than all the other codes that were giving me $950-$1000.

Thanks for sharing. I just saved another $15 off my latest reservation, with that code. It’s not much but it’s the lowest I’ve been able to get. Currently paying $624 for a standard suv from 5/06 to 5/16.

I’m still hoping to see the price drop before then. Guess we’ll just wait and see.

I was able to get my mini van current best rate of $397 (Alamo) down to $365 (Budget) going through Costco today. 5/16 - 5/23

Depending on when your flight arrives at MCO, look into rent car agencies outside the terminal. You will have to take Uber, but the price might be cheaper and less taxes. That is why I rent my car from the Car Care Center on WDW property. usually $100.00 cheaper for the week.

Jumping onboard here. Need 2 rentals for part of May. April 26-May 9 and May 30-June 6. No coupons work anymore. I only use Alamo and National. Thanks to the coupon code above, but didn’t work for my reservations . Let the stalking begin. Any coupon codes are appreciate!

Rich, I hope you're right. We have an eleven day trip planned. Realizing we're still too far out to get decent quotes, I started plugging in different start/end dates for Feb, Mar, & Apr and rates didn't get much better

My trip is 5/2 - 5/11 and I have been checking almost every day for the last couple of months. The cheapest rate I have found so far is through Costco $395 (which I currently have booked). I travel to WDW every year at this time and have never paid this much for a rental. Usually by this time in this past, I have gotten rates that were much cheaper. I have never paid more than $200 for the same number of days in May. Last July I visited WDW and rented a car and the rates never dropped. I think the rental car companies are working together to keep the rates high.

Nowhere near where I want to be yet, but so far: Budget 5/11-17, Int SUV Base $199.42/Total $286.19, Costco W852802, $25 MUGZ013

Don't need an SUV, but so far rates are better for that than the standard car classes.

Trying to think outside the box. We are there for 2 weeks. I’m currently looking at $550-$600. Since I’m at Bwv, we are thinking rentI got for 3 days at the beginning and 3 days at the end. With p/u and drop off at dolphin and a few free days we looking at $125 each rental. So $250 total. We may have to move our universal days around and make sure we have the groceries covered, but could make it work.
