    Yey... another trip report.
We left Universal the day you arrived... am already missing it.
Can’t wait to read the full report have enjoyed reading about all the places you intend on visiting.
We ended up at Sapphire falls one night accidental during an Epic Uber fail, ( my fault to many cocktails) it looked lovely. Enjoyed the two boat trips to get back to the Portofino as well!

And.......we booked 23 nights for next May as we aren’t doing Mardi Gras party:........looking forward to that already......flights booked and hotel sorted!

Hope you are all doing fabulously.......:wave2:

Oh my goodness Carole!! 23 nights next May...fabulous!!!!

(I really need to get my butt into gear and get some days on my calendar. My AP isn't gaining any value just sitting in a drawer, lol!)

Reporting back for duty :) nothing like the food porn here to make me suddenly starving at the end of along day lol. I am now hankering for sushi.

orlando seems to thankfully have the ‘best of the best’ when it does come down to chain restaurants in the US. A few Longhorns we’ve tried in our area are so bad it makes me wonder how they keep their franchise licenses, let alone stay in business. :confused3

The food you post in ur TR from the Yard-house in MCO always looks good. Tried their branch in Honolulu during last trip and both service & food quality were quite dismal. Was starving, but just could not bring myself to plow thru the prime rib french dip that was bit of an oxymoron, as it was incredibly dry (despite the broth) and tasteless

I giggle when i see pics of the those donut burgers. look so interesting, just not sure if I could plow thru one despite enjoying the contrast of chicken & waffles with syrup. Do you find yourself picking the donut off and eating separately?

Glad to hear you are having another grrreat time in Orlando. Having them roll out the red carpet has to be such a special part of your trips! It’s such a lovely resort, I truly wish SF would offer EP, even if they’d raise the rates to match the RP going rates.

::yes:: Yes, you absolutely do have to get something booked! Those AP are brilliant.........

Yep, we just thought why not.........it would have been a few days longer, but we have 2 weddings next year either side of this trip, so instead of the planned 26 nights, it’s 23. Still a long trip though so I’m certainly not complaining. Makes up for missing a March trip..........:thumbsup2

Hope you’re doing ok.....we thought about you in Strong Water a few times..........:wave2:

And a warm welcome back to the lovely Keisha..........fresh from your fabulous trip! I’m sure you had an absolute blast......look forward to hearing all about it.........was it everything you hoped especially in Hawaii??

Yes, the chains we sometimes avoid are fairly decent here.....Longhorn has a couple of good ones and a dreadful one.......same with the sometimes laughed at Red Lobster........oh don’t like the sound of the French dip sandwich......how can they make something so simple a bad dish!

Well, I’m weird with burgers......apparently  .......I use a knife and fork........I have my crowns and bridge to worry about so biting into that in case the bacon is crunchy.........but I eat it together and it is lush! And not as sweet as you might imagine......ok it is sweet :D but deliciously so......especially with the jalapeños......a must have on any burger! I love chicken and waffles with maple syrup but strangely never order it anywhere.........

Oh yes, we truly feel like royalty here.......they are so special to us and always welcome us like returning family......and so many people have commented to us this trip how everyone knows us there.......lol.......one woman in the Club Lounge came over to us and said we must be celebrities in the lounge as every single TM who came in were over to talk and hug us.......that was funny.......but it is lovely and we adore them all.

So, definitely having the best time again.....even if we haven’t always felt the need to fill our day with stuff.......just being here is fabulous.........:goodvibes

Glad to have you back safe and sound.........look forward to catching up.........l:wave2:

Thanks Carole. I’m of the school of thought that, for better or worse, people often do get back exactly what they give. Let the haters hate, as surely, there is no shame in living a life well-lived, enjoy the moment(s)!

You know it’s funny someone commented about me recently they couldn’t imagine saying in a hotel room for more than a few nights with their family.......we’re the opposite......we love that close proximity......and yes, no housework for all that time is bliss.....I hate doing household jobs........I do it, I just hate it......lol.....

So, definitely looking forward to a longer May trip as well.........if it’s as hot as this year has been this past week, we’ll be more than happy........:thumbsup2

Go for it!!!:yay: If I was coming all that way pretty sure we would stay a good while too! I tend to look at cooking as a creative outlet but don’t miss one bit when away.

It’s not the size of the accommodations for me, always loved being encamped at a resort with the kiddos even when they accompanied us as adults. Pretty sure they don’t feel quite the same haha

I just feel especially guilty leaving the pooch after my kids reported he was quite lethargic/moping around midway that 2nd week, not eating much. Bounced back nicely though once we were home. First time in all the years we’ve ever had it happen.:confused3

Aww....what a shame the doggy was like that......I can imagine you feeling guilty. But glad he’s back to normal as soon as you came back.......

I’m sure your kids love it too!! You’re a close knit family.......always the best way to be! And even better with more than one bathroom......

I hear you.......I love cooking, and enjoy real cooking, not just throwing a meal together.......but can’t honestly say I miss it one little bit when we’re here.......sitting right now in the suite cooling down and munching on a store bought coconut cake.........trying to decide whether to go to Yard House, Red Lobster (don’t laugh) or go in the park for some night time rides.........so many choices!!!
