Merchandise returns

Not sure if this is the correct board (moderator please move if not)
Has anyone ever been able to return Disney vacation merchandise (a hat bought in parks, but not park or resort specific) to the local Disney store?

It's worth a try but I was not able to return something to the World of Disney in Downtown Disney near DL that had bought online despite the fact that they had the same merchandise in the store.
 
the parks merchandise and Disney Store are two separate companies, both under the Disney Corporation Parent Group.

They have very different merchandise suppliers and inventories. You could try but be prepared for them not to accept it. Dont be that customer who insists and makes a scene demanding that they HAVE to give you you a refund because they are Disney and its all the same company. They are not.

No, there’s nothing wrong with it, just a present for someone that didn’t quite fit them/work for them.
 
Call 877-560-6477 for Disney Parks merchandise assistance. If it's within 30 days, you may have some luck, but YMMV. This number is printed on the receipts at the parks and they will be the best source of information!
