Taking our son with CP and who uses a wheelchair next month. He loves the parades and want to know the best option for him to watch I MK. Is the wheelchair viewing area a good option, or are we better off staking out another location? Has anyone done the Tony’s parade dining package?

MK has 3 handicap location one is where the Parada ends one is in front of the castle and one is in front of hall of presidents

NOTE: edited to fix auto correct that didn’t make sense.

I marked the 3 handicapped viewing areas for you. The parade route is marked with a red dotted line. If there are parades (like for the parties), the parade will go in the opposite direction for the second parade. That doesn’t matter for viewing, but if you are at the parade route end, it will start later for you.
The one at the castle hub is usually the busiest and fills up quickly. The one at the end of a Main Street is usually not as crowded - just be aware that a lot of people leave right after parades, so you may have a lot of traffic coming toward you if you are going to try going to the castle hub for firework. We like to duck into the stores and walk thru there.
I like the one across from Hall of Presidents, but it is narrow in places.

Teena from LA Asked“Where do you sit for the Festival of Fantasy parade dining package?”
Hi Teena!

The Disney Festival of Fantasy Dining Package is a fairly new offering at Walt Disney World Resort's Magic Kingdom Park. Guests who book this dining experience enjoy lunch at Tony's Town Square Restaurant, then have an amazing view of the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade from a VIP viewing spot. The dining package includes an appetizer, entrée, dessert and non-alcoholic beverage, and guests are allowed to choose from any selection on the menu!

After your meal, you'll receive a voucher to present at the VIP reserved viewing location 15-to-35 minutes prior to show time. The meeting spot is at the Main Street, U.S.A. flagpole, and the reserved viewing area is located in the same area. There aren't actual "seats" to sit in, but guests are welcome to sit on the curb area in the reserved section if they like. This prime viewing spot gives guests nearly a 360 degree view of the parade, as it slowly circles around Town Square.

The Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade is absolutely gorgeous - from the costumes to the awesome floats. My friends and I always like to try and get Flynn Rider's attention by calling him Eugene - sometimes he'll even give us "The Smolder". Make sure to have your camera ready when the Maleficent Dragon goes by - it breathes real fire!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. Have a magical day! - Diane W
