Mom/Daughter Birthday Celebration: Lots of Firsts and Laughs! (Update 3-18-13)

Another "life" update:

It's been a crazy week, with starting the new job last Monday, and trying to get school work done!! Even had a yard sale, and babysitting last weekend!!

Coming up: Finishing up my TR, and in the midst of all the busy-ness of the past week, I had some Disney magic come my way!!!

:wizard:

The show looks great. Was it full? I don't hear very much about it.

Can't wait to hear about the Disney magic.

Happy Thanksgiving :)

I am loving your report! I am going on a mother daughter trip in December and I am so excited for it! I think it's so great that you and your daughter do that so often

You had great seats. I had a nice view of a pole.

It was a great show. Did you get some good pics from where you were sitting?

The show seemed pretty full. We enjoyed it!

A couple of weeks ago, in the middle of all the chaos of school, new job, babysitting, and everything else; came some Disney magic! (yep, I've still been babysitting some, even babysat yesterday after working 1st shift, and today after Thanksgiving dinner! And yep, I must be crazy!) :lmao:

Our local radio station was having contests to win Disney On Ice tickets. After I took DD to school one morning, they announced they were looking for a winning caller, so I started dialing like crazy, as I had been trying to win them before. So I was indeed the correct caller, and won 4 tickets!!!! :cool1:
And as he was getting my information, he informed me that along with the tickets, I won meet & greet passes! :woohoo:

After my excitement, I was starting to get a little worried, because of the new job, I was worried about the schedule, and if I would have that day off.

Everything worked out, and we're going TOMORROW!!!
I'm sure I'll let ya'll know all about it!! :thumbsup2

Thanks! I love our trips, with just the 2 of us!!!! I know you'll have a great time on your mom/daughter trip! I'm going over to check out your PTR!

I haven't looked at them since I've been home, but i don't think I got anything too great.

After we left Spirit of Aloha, we decided to go to DTD for some last minute shopping.

DD decided to try on a few different hats!

We left DTD and went back to the resort, and finished packing and getting ready for our last day, which was departure day!

Before I get to the ending of our trip, I thought I'd share some Disney magic that came our way.

I won Disney on Ice tickets a couple of weeks ago through a local radio station. Thinking I couldn't get more excited about being the winning caller, the guy tells me I also won meet & greet passes! That put me over the edge with excitement and I was literally in tears!

The day finally arrived and, along with me & my DD, my mom and sister came along! This was surprising, though, because they don't have the love for Disney that we do!

I thought this pic was pretty funny, because, Can't you tell they're just thrilled to be there??? :rotfl2:

So, from the beginning: we arrived early, and patiently waited.......

They finally arrived to let us in, and we were escorted to the VIP area. There was about 12 families that had won the contests also.

And Minnie arrives! (She was the only character doing the meet & greet)

Here comes Ken. He was so hilarious! His character was very over the top & dramatic. I laughed so much during his parts of the show!

We then noticed that the Mr. Potato Head had a little accident and fell and couldn't get up!! :rotfl:
Looks like the doggie (what's his name?) was trying to help out but couldn't do anything!

Then we noticed a worker was pulling him away by his feet!!

And for the finale, Mickey & Minnie and the gang, came out for goodbyes!

Congrats on winning Disney on Ice tickets!! We go quite frequently and I love it. You can tell that you and your daughter were the ones who were excited to be there lol I don't think I've seen that show that you went to, I don't remember ever seeing Lightning McQueen on the ice lol

Everything is so cute! Glad you had a great time :) your mom and sister don't look happy to be there.

Your Mom and Sisters expressions are too funny.

Which show was this one? We are going to the 100 years of Magic one in a couple of weeks.

That show was the 'Worlds Of Fantasy".

My mom & sis weren't as thrilled as we were, and I even asked if they wanted to take pics by themselves with Minnie, and they didn't want to!! :faint:

It's been a good, but hectic couple of weeks! 2 finals taken, and 1 to go!! With only 1 semester left, I can't believe how fast it's gone by!
I'll plan to finish this TR in the next few days since I'll finally have time to relax a little and catch up!!!

:wizard:

Sorry for the delay in finishing this! With school, work, clinicals, babysitting, Christmas and everything in between, it's been so crazy!! :crazy2:

Finally on our last Disney day, we checked out of SSR. DD wanted to go over to the Polynesian once more for breakfast. She had her heart set on getting Tonga Toast (for the 1st time) before we left! ;)

We arrived at the Polynesian, taking more pics:
