Navigator Of The Sea

This will be our first RCC on the navigator of the sea. We are doing the southern ABC cruise for 9 nights.
There are 4 adults and 1 child in our party. We are flying into Fort Lauderdale and leaving from the port of Miami. Is there any hotels that has shuttle service? Or is it easier to take a shuttle service from FLL airport to Miami then stay a night in Miami, or stay in FLL for a night then go to the port.
What do you recommend for a child that is 7 on the islands? Any recommendations on tour companies or private tours would be greatly appreciated.
Also how is the kid club onboard? Any info regarding the ship would be appreciated.

Thank you for all your help!

You won't find a hotel that offers shuttle service from FLL to Port of Miami. We did this a few years ago and the cheapest option was a one-way car hire FLL to MIA. We literally had the car for about 4 hours - lunch, grocery stop, hotel. We ditched the car at MIA and stayed at a Homewood Suites, I think, that offered shuttle service to the port for about $10 each.

BTW, Navigator was the first RCCL we sailed 10 years ago. Loved her and wouldn't hesitate to sail her again. Enjoy!

SAS does do a pick-up from FLL area hotels the morning of the cruise. In March we stayed at the Hyatt Place right near FLL and they picked us up at a preset time (in our case just before 11 but there were earlier times) and took us to the port. Cost was $15 pp. We have used them a bunch of times and never had a problem.

Navigator was our first RCCL cruise this past March. Couple of little hiccups, but overall really enjoyed the experience. Would happily go back on her again, esp. post refurb next year (unfortunately she is only going to be doing short runs however).

DD9 enjoyed the kids club. They ended up merging a couple of the age groups because there were so few kids on board. We weren't expecting her to even go but after the first time she wanted to go back (and told us more than once at pickup that she wasn't ready to leave).

Love the Navigator, especially the panoramic window staterooms.

No idea about the kids club though.
