Need expertise on Chicago, IL

We want to go to Chicago this summer. We have friends in West Chicago that we would like to visit. I'd like to find a reasonably priced hotel near there and I despirately want to see The Lion King theatre performance at (I think) the Chicago Palace. It would be great if I could find a forum and get some opinions on where to stay, etc. Or maybe there is a Chicago expert on these forums??

The Lion King is at the Cadillac Palace. There are a lot of great places to stay in the Chicago area. I would suggest also going to Hotels.com to at least get an idea of what is the area that you are looking for if you don't want to stay actually IN Chicago.

The links that Dan gave you are great resources. Use them as much as you can and you will get a tremendous amount of information.

We are going to see LK in June and I can't wait!!!
