When we bought into DVC, we were fixed up for 3 nights at OKW. Now we're planning 8 nights at BWV in '02 and wondering what are some good tips that you veterans use to make your stay "magical".

When you get to WDW, just relax. We didn't go on as many rides as usual this last trip because we will be back in Nov. We didn't even get up early for Surprise mornings except for one day and we got there a little after the early entry. We hit the waterparks at 9:30 so that we can get an umbrella when they open at 10 AM.

We make all our reservations at the 11 months mark at our home resort. Then if we decide to stay at another resort we call at 7 months to see what we can change. This time we added on two nights at VB before our 5 nights at OKW.

Since you are now a DVC member, you will be returning in a year or two - so take it slow. You don't need to hit a park a day. Enjoy WDW. Visit resorts and places that you have never seen. You can do and see lots and lots for free.
Enjoy the BWV. Kick back by the pool, or pool hop (Stormalong Bay?). Play minigolf near the Swan. Visit some of the other resorts for dinner or a drink. Ride the monorail. Take a boat trip from one resort to another. Watch the fireworks from the roof of the Contemp. Watch the water show from the Poly. Check out the Legos at the Marketplace. Build some memories that you can repeat in later visits. Have a wonderful trip.

Lots of terrific ideas have already been posted. I have just one more to add. If you ride the monorail, go right up to the CM working as the "loader" and ask if your group can ride up front with the driver. If nobody else has already asked, they will let you do so. We were able to do this twice on our last trip, and my 2 nephews were THRILLED. It's a great view, especially if you're approaching Magic Kingdom after dark. One of the drivers even presented each of us with a souvenir card for having ridden in the driver's cab.

Have a wonderful trip. 8 nights at BWV sounds heavenly! :D
