Odd things your Dad said many years ago

My dad was never one to have savings. He always said that having stocks or savings didn't mean much because, "money isn't money until you spend it". I think about that philosophy from time to time. It wasn't one I adopted or taught to my own kids.

"I hate Ross (friends) , I just want to smack him in the face"

Oh, I love Ross! He is my favorite Friend. Pivot & We were on a break . . . need I say more? If I did, I'd tell myself to keep it down,

And to all those that don't enjoy Ross I give you this (in jest)

If we referred to my Mom as "she" when talking to him, he'd always say, "She's the *cat's* mother," which was our cue to start over and call her 'Mom.' I think he meant it for us to show respect to her by not saying, 'she' instead of 'Mom.'

But my Dad was strange. *shrug*

A night when I tucked my kids in, I would grab their face and say "Face hugger!" Goodnight, sleep tight.
It was many years later when they finally saw "Alien".
