Odd things your Dad said many years ago

If one of us said "Oh God!" my dad would say, (picture a deep majestic voice here), "Yes, my child?"

When we were kids and told to turn off the tv he would say , “ someone turn off the idiot box!”

My dad called it the "boob tube"

If we referred to my Mom as "she" when talking to him, he'd always say, "She's the *cat's* mother," which was our cue to start over and call her 'Mom.' I think he meant it for us to show respect to her by not saying, 'she' instead of 'Mom.'

But my Dad was strange. *shrug*

When I was kid if I referred to an adult as he or she my dad was say said person “is not a pronoun”
