Thank you! I don’t think she’ll have an issue with crowds. We were there in June w no problem. I’m aiming to reduce the time spent waiting vs enjoying the party.

If we’re going to the 11p parade, realistically how far in advance should you camp out for a decent spot on Main?

I really need to caveat these posts with "This is based on what I've read and I have no direct experience" 😅.

I wasn't really worried about the crowds for you but that wait time. I...honestly can't say since these will be my first MVMCP's (got two). I've seen recommendations like an hour (even for the second one) but again your mileage may vary depending on time of year going & actual crowd level.

Like I said I can't speak to paying that much for a child who can't partake in everything for the Tony's event (I'm one of those terrible childless millennials ruining Disney 🤣). But who knows. If I had a kid I might be the type to pay anything I could afford to give them that extra Disney experience.

Does anyone know what time the last busses leave from MK during the Christmas party?

I'm sorry if this has been covered but what is an ideal schedule to be at the turnstiles at 4pm?

Is there a holding place if we want to be past security and ready to scan our ticket as close to 4pm as possible?

Please note that MVMCP is a "hard-ticket" event. A "hard-ticket" event means you must buy a separate ticket for admission to the party, you cannot use a day of your regular Magic Your Way ticket to attend MVMCP.
Sorry if this has been addressed. I haven't read through all the pages yet. Our December trip will be 1-park per day tickets (not hoppers). Since this party is a hard-ticket, can I go to a different park on the party-day using my regular tickets and still attend the part in MK with the party ticket? Or with my 1-park per day ticket, is MK my only park choice that day? Hoping that since it's a hard ticket, we go to AK earlier in the day since we never need a full day there. Thanks!

Yes

Sorry, my question was confusing since it actually contained 2 "opposing" questions ("can I go to a different park" vs "is MK my only park option that day"). I have an idea which way you were answering but I don't want to assume anything as we start narrowing down our plans. Can you please clarify which question you were answering "yes" to? Thanks :flower3:

Sorry I tend to reply as soon as I read the question and didn't notice the second one. You can use your regular ticket to go to AK during the day and then use the party ticket to get into MK (

Awesome, thank you so much!

We most likely will be going on Nov. 15. We could try to go the 14th but Dh works and I’d rather not stress him out trying to rush there since we have about an hour drive.

I’ve read through most everything on the first page. We’ll be going in with a laid back approach (no characters and probably few-no rides). The main thing will be the parade, firework show, and the “treats”. I have a feeling we’ll end up doing a second party so I don’t think I’ll be booking the dessert party or Tony’s. I’m hoping we can get a decent parade spot without it.

Awesome, thank you so much!
Correct, although I would just point out that party days before 4pm are the lowest crowds at MK and higher crowds at other parks since people without a party ticket try to avoid early closure at MK. So you might actually enjoy doing MK that day.

Okay so this is a spontaneous trip, or at least by my standards, that has us attending the party on Dec 17th. I haven't had a chance to do a hard ticket event since I believe 2013? It was one of the Wine and Dine years I did that's all I remember currently. Anyways point is I'm out of practice with the WDW parties. But I really want to get the Seven Dwarves photo. We're starting our day at DHS since close friend who is coming really wants to see Galaxy's Edge. I saw that we need to be in line by at least 5. I have an AP but don't want to cut into my friends time at GE too much. I'm just wondering what's a realistic time to be getting out of DHS and get to MK where I won't be getting in line so late that I will end up missing most of the party.

I've got a reservation at Jungle Skippers Canteen for 6:05pm on a party day at MK but no ticket... Am I going to be turned away? Should I cancel it?

How odd--since they are not one of the participating restaurants in the "party dining" reservations that take over at 6pm (CRT, BOG, Plaza and Crystal Palace are supposed to be the only restaurants that are open during the party), and I thought the non-party restaurants stopped taking reservations right at 5:55pm. Are you absolutely sure it is a party night? I would think you are okay since it is not a party restaurant and so not beholden the same requirements as party reservation of having a party ticket. But you would need to be aware that they will escort you to the front gate as soon as your reservation is over as they have a strict no lingering policy for people finishing dinner after the party begins.

I pretty much always budget 90 minutes door to door because of disney transportation delays, bag check lines etc., so I would suggest leaving DHS no later than 3:30pm

I am considering doing a wdw trip this december (thinking 3 parties and 2 epcot days), have never been to wdw at Christmas time. Can anyone who has experienced both the christmas party and DAH tell me how different they are crowd wise and wait times? Our last wdw trip this summer was 4 dah events and one epcot day and it felt perfect. We have done DL and DCA at Christmas time the past two years and have loved it, would really miss nightmare before christmas HM, but wondering if wdw MVMCP might be a more relaxing experience. We have done two sold out DAH mk this year (including the villains opening night) and had a great time crowd/wait time wise with both. We are fine with skipping hs and ak this trip.

Just doubled checked and yes it is the 22nd of November. You can get later reservations too on some of the party nights.

No, you're fine. Each restaurant has a separate cut off time for reservations on party night, and so long as you made your reservation on the Main Dining page and not via the Party Dining link, you'll be fine (and since Skipper's doesn't offer reservations during the party, the main dining page would have been the only way you could have made an ADR). Enjoy - it's our favorite MK hidden gem restaurant!

ETA: Just make sure you are in the Magic Kingdom prior to 6 pm, as no one without a party ticket will be admitted after 5:59. Also, expect to be escorted to the exit of the park once you finish dining.
