Oh no - the 15th is now sold out! Found this out when I went to buy myself a ticket. Do more ever become available closer to the day of the party? I only need one!

I’m glad we got tickets for the 12th instead. Sorry it sold out before you could get a ticket

Just a quick recap from our sold out night (11/24). We had planned to arrive closer to 3, but as it was the last warmish day of our trip, we let the kids swim and showed up closer to 5. Here’s what we were able to get done:

Grabbed SOTMK card then hit the bypass for photos and our first cookie. We’d missed our first FP and were heading for #2 (BTMRR) when we passed by the “zoom” magic shot and hubby wanted to stop. He never asks for anything on our trips, especially photos!, so we waited. The line was only a few families deep but moves sooo slow that we missed our window for BTMRR and just headed to FP #3 (Jingle Cruise). After dinner checked in for our 6:10 ADR at Liberty Tree. The plan was to be done eating right around 7, but unfortunately they told us they were running about 20 minutes behind (boo) so it was nearly 7:30 before we were done.

We popped out the back exit and tried to meet Mary & Bert but they had just cut their line, so we hit BTMRR, grabbed peppermint cookies at the stop at the exit, then circled back. We waited only about 10 minutes and had a great interaction with them! (I think someone had mentioned up thread that they did not have a PP photog, but we had one our night).

After Mary & Bert we headed to Tomorrowland to ride the Speedway before checking in for the fireworks dessert party. As we were crossing the hub, the 8:15 castle lighting was happening, so we stopped to watch (we’ve never seen it!). Then we got a castle pic, rode the Speedway with about a 10 minute wait (the overlay was really cool...don’t miss this one!) and headed to the dessert party.

We enjoyed snacks for about 40 minutes (thought the selection was great and loved that they had several of the party cookies out as well...I stocked up on my favorite, the ginger molasses, and saved me a stop later!). We then headed to the garden in time to catch the end of the stage show before the fireworks started. I really enjoyed the new show, but it was no Holiday Wishes :(

After the fireworks we headed right to Main Street to grab our parade spot. We ended up with a perfect curbside seat right across from the Confectionary (and the snoap cannon!). I had hubby hold our spot while I took the kids over to meet Santa. Unfortunately, the CM told us that Santa would be leaving at 11 to head to the parade, and we may or may not meet him before then. So we decided to leave and come back after the parade (which had been our original plan, but thought this would help kill time while we waited). She then told us that Mickey or Jack & Sally both had a short wait if we wanted to pop over to the Theater instead. I thought she must be crazy, but the kids and I decided to poke our heads in just to check, and sure enough, there was NO ONE in the lobby in Jack & Sally’s line. We ended up waiting 20 minutes to meet them. I was shocked! After that it was almost 11 and we headed back to DH. By now, the crowds were 2-3 rows deep on Main Street. The Kringle Krew arrived not long after, and DD got picked to go out and dance with them!

The parade was amazing as always.....the toy soldiers are a close second to the gravediggers IMO....then headed to meet Santa after the parade with about a 5 minute wait. We took a picture by the tree on our way out, were on a bus by 12:15 and back at POFQ by 12:30.

The only thing we ended up missing was the Space Mountain overlay, but all in all had a great night. Crowds felt light for a sold out party, and WAY lighter than our sold out MNSSHP earlier this year.

Thank you so much for your review, especially for a sold out night. My party date hasn't sold out yet, but I'm thinking it will be by next week. I'm glad you enjoyed the party & we're looking forward to our first MVMCP experience!!

What if you are at MK without a party ticket that day, what time should we anticipate being shuffled out by the cast? Also, if we are in line for a ride or meet & greet will they ask you to leave at any specific time? So essentially you could be waiting a bit then asked to leave?

Also, if you are still lingering on Main Street in shops or having a snack do they let you hang out until a specific time there as well?

Thanks in advance!
The park closes at 6 to day guests, meaning you can line up for rides or (non-party) M&Gs until that time. The hour between 6 and 7 is used to empty the park of day guests, but you can still eat and shop during that time. After 7 pm you will be asked to show your party wrist band to do anything, and will be asked to leave if you do not have one.

Unfortunately not, though 3rd party resellers like UT may still have some available?

Also, not sure if this applies to all sold-out party nights, but after a certain time (if you are driving/parking at MK), on sold out nights they may check for party tickets and if you don't have one, chances are you will be turned away at the MK parking lot toll booth.

I just hope 12/6 doesn’t sell out. I experienceD a sold out MVMCP in 2016 and it wasn’t that bad surprisingly.

Just got back from the sold out 12/3 party. It was definitely crowded but not impossible to avoid long waits. A huge portion of the crowds were on the hub & mainstreet as well as in the really rare meets & greets. I am glad I did the fireworks dessert party as I really did feel like I would have been stuck on main street all night if I had wanted to get a view of the projections as well. But tbh like others, the overall show was OK and probably not something I'll put too much emphasis on seeing again

So I had general idea of things I wanted to do and overall achieved them while also knowing when to pivot on the fly. I know I could have ended the night with Space Mountain but I was just so cold I was ready to get out of there (plus I had decided on doing a second party so figured there will be opportunity then as well.

Honestly I think the biggest problem is this is such a huge expense that people think they need to cram in as much as possible. Which just adds a ton of pressure on the vacationer & their group. I had a good time despite the crowds.

Review of 12/3 sold out mvmcp.

Entered park at 4. Used 330 FP for buzz, rode people mover (~8 minute wait), 430 FP speedway, 530 FP SDMT, rode carousel with 10 minute wait. Grabbed dinner at Pinocchio village at ~615. Got in line for teacups at 650 and rode right at 7 with the holiday lights. High tailed it to the hub and used our double stroller to secure a front row spot on the NW Side of the hub directly facing the parade route as it approaches from liberty square.

Left a grandparent and two kids parked at the spot with glow sticks and bubbles while me and grandpa went to obtain treats. We hit friars nook (no line,
Got chocolate chip cookies and graham cracker cookies) then Pinocchio village (HUGE line but moved shockingly fast- obtained hot chocolate, snicker doodles and mini rice krispie treats.). The hot chocolates were tiny and luke warm. The cookies were also very small and very generic/mass produced. My kids didn’t mind, and well, they are “free” but still a bit disappointing considering how much we pay for the party.

We made it back to the hub around 730 and rotated slightly towards center stage and watched Mickeys Merriest Christmas show — this was very cute with lots of characters and fun songs And fantastic castle projections. Then watched Anna and Elsa light the castle. Their show was also super cute and the “iced” castle is simply gorgeous. We did have to pick our kids up and hold them to see the shows, but from our position we had a fantatic view of both of them.

Then the highlight— the parade!! I thought our spot was perfect as we got to watch the parade directly approach us then turn left right in front of us. No one tried to shove in or block us st the last minute which I appreacited. The hub was far less crowded than I had anticipated for a sold out event. Front row spots were gone by 730 but a lot of those were taken up by people sitting or kids in stroller so a second row spot still afforded fantastic views. People showed up and got behind us beteeen 815-830 and had a great spot. There was still plenty of space behind us. People did leave after both the Mickey show and the castle lighting so there were many spots in flux between 8-830.

After the parade we did speedway with the overlay (15min wait, very cool twist!) got a snowman pretzel from the story book cart, and went back down to Main Street for fireworks. We set up on the street facing the castle 3/4 of the way down. We wanted to be able to see the fireworks and projections but also make a hasty exit once they ended.

Again it did not feel super crowded. I expected walk to wall people Walking through the hub and down Main Street 10 mins before fireworks stared but that wasn’t the case. Cast members did a fantastic job of keeping walking paths open in the hub. We could have stopped at any number of spots along the Tomorrowland bridge or in the hub and had an open spot. Main street had some people on the curb for the 11pm parade but otherwise wasn’t crowded. It felt like a 4-5/10 crowd day. Defintiely not like a 8 9 or 10 crowd day.

Our fireworks spot was great and allowed us a perfect view of the castle projections and probably 90% of the fireworks (some of the peripheral ones may have been blocked). We left immediately after they were over and boarded the Express Monorail to TTC with no line. Back at resort at 11pm.

Overall we loved this event. We got to do 7 rides (including 2 with overlays), see 2 shows + parade + fireworks, hit three treat stations and it never felt insanely crowded. If my kids could hang later it would have been even better and we would have hit more rides and seen a few characters between 10:15-midnight. This totally got us in the Christmas spirit and I would definitely do it again.

Hi everyone! Tonight we’re going to our first MVMCP. can anyone give me the scoop on Moana? My kids have recently gotten into that movie and I know she’s a rare character. I see on page 1 she meets at Adventureland at 5:45. Wondering if I need to arrive early to line up.

This is my first time going to MVMCP. I know we can't enter the park until 4 pm, but when should I show up at the gate? Is there usually a wait/long line to get in? Should I show up a half hour early or is that not necessary? I'm going 12/19, so it will probably be a busier party. I have a fast pass that ends at 4:20 that I would like to try to make.

I would get there by 3:30 and you should be okay.

I went to a party in November and we headed towards Moana at around 5:15ish. When we got over there (Tiki Room if I remember correctly) there was probably around 20-25 already people in line. The night of our party, Moana was actually delayed until 6:15 or so because adults (couple in their 50's and a 20 something year old guy) were arguing loudly about who was first in line. Security and multiple employees had to come over. FINALLY after removing those adults from the line we got to see her. Not sure why they didn't just kick the people earlier but we all had to wait because of adults acting like 5 year olds. My advice would be to get over there at least 30 min early.

What a BEAUTIFUL family

Has anyone ever watched the second castle lighting (8:15) from where they are positioned to see the first parade (8:30)? Wondering if there’s a good spot to see both.
