Anyone else going today? I’m wondering what a solid plan is for tonight with all the rain. I’m guessing the parades won’t run with a lot of rain. Fireworks too?
We’re going tonight, so bummed about the weather. Like you, we’re going with low expectations and hope to tough it out in the rain as long as possible. Hoping for the best for fireworks and parade, but will try to move from indoor ride to indoor ride if those are our only options. Should’ve packed rain boots! Good luck tonight!

Good luck to you too! We’re at GF waiting for the monorail and I can say it’s already crazy! The line up is to the stairs!

We’re e here tonight.

Got into Orlando around 1:30 and went to Disney Springs for lunch. Rain was pretty ugly while we were there.

Checked into our hotel then headed to MK for the party. Got to the gate around 4:45. Missed our Pan FP but made the Haunted Mansion FP.

Now in line for BTRR.

So far, the weather hasn’t been bad. Hope it stays this way.

We had about 45 minutes after our CRT breakfast before our Winnie the Pooh fast pass so we picked up our photo album for this trip in the emporium and then stopped at guest services. The CM was super kind and helpful. Happy to report Friday night was the magical party night I had been hoping for!

We waited about 25.

Now we’re at Space. Line is almost back to Astro Orbiter. Wait says 30 minutes. Seems dubious.

ETA: that was about right. We were on in 32 min
We waited about 20 for 7DMT then 15 for teacups and another 15 for speedway. We went to watch the fireworks by Tomorrowland side of the castle (got there 10mins before it started). We now checked into Tony’s and will watch the parade if it runs again. :) I know my son would have preferred rides but I’ve already paid for this...

We were at the party on Tuesday and it was a bit rough as we had grandparents in their mid-seventies with us. What is the special hotline they Disney set up? I have not received any notices of it.
Sorry for the late reply. I was transferred from the automated call system to billing when I asked for a refund. They transferred me to Tickets, who transferred me to "the hotline." The Cast Member in Tickets said they were aware of the issue so I guess they basically had a separate queue for resolving the 12/17 party. He also told me what two options they were going to offer me once I got to the front of the queue (even though, as I said, I actually got a third option without ever bringing up the first two). The entire call lasted 51 minutes, including the transfers.

Queues and transfer times, I sound like the Rise of the Resistance thread lol.

So basically, I called the customer service number and they redirected me from there.

Planning for a future year-- I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this but didn't see it explicitly answered in the FAQ or in browsing a few pages of the forum...

MVMCP is a COMPLETELY separate ticket, correct? Meaning...
1. I can plan something entirely different for earlier in the day before 4pm-- another park, a resort day, anything outside of Magic Kingdom
2. I do NOT need to use one of my park-day tickets in addition to the MVMCP ticket; nor do I need a park hopper if we decide to do a different park earlier the day we go to a party

I just want to be sure that if I plan for non-hopper tickets that we have the freedom to do non-Magic Kingdom stuff before going to a party

Thanks in advance!

The Christmas Party Ticket is all you need to get into MK on a party night (starting at 4). A regular park ticket will get you into MK, but if you don't have a Party wrist band you'll be escorted out around 6:15. You can combine Party Tickets with regular tickets in any combination otherwise though.

For example, I used a Mid-day Ticket to get into the park at 12, giving me a few extra hours in the park that the Party Tickets wouldn't allow me. Some people do other parks, of skip the extra ticket and go on holiday decoration tours of the hotels before the Party.

Just the answer I needed. Thank you!

On the bus after the party tonight. We had a great time and even though it was a sold out party and pretty crowded, we were able to do everything we wanted! We did (in order):
-met Jack and Sally (lined up around 2:20, was 2nd in line and met at 4:33)
-Bought some party merchandise
-Went through the bypass
-met Nick and Judy (lined up around 5:15ish, was 3rd in line, met at 6:17)
-Met Winnie the Pooh and friends (got in line around 6:20, met at 6:47)
-Met Aurora and Snow White with their princes (got in line around 6:50, met at 7:22)
-Did the Tinkerbell lantern photo (1 group in front of us so a short wait, did while in line for Aurora and Snow White by switching out)
-Met the Tweedles while waiting for Ariel & Eric at 7:42, was a short line with about 6-7 groups in front of me
-Met Ariel and Prince Eric (by far the longest line, got in line around 7:25 and met at 8:12)
-Got some cookies (all lines were super long so we only did this 3 times throughout the night)
-Met Minnie & Daisy with Scrooge and Donald at 8:39, a relatively short line
-Got the Zero magic shot
-Met Mickey with no line at 8:52
-Club Tinsel
-Met Mary Poppins and Bert (they were really hard to meet due to their schedule!!) - got in line around 9, they came out at 9:15 since they were in the parade and met at 9:26
-Got a photo with the green ornament
-Met Aladdin and Abu at 9:57
-Watched the fireworks by the Crystal Palace
-Met Cinderella, Prince Charming, and Elena at 10:26, line was very short
-Did some photos in the photo pass studio (Sir Mickey’s)
-11pm parade down Main Street
-Rode Space Mountain (this is a MUST and was very fun. the line was only 15 minutes at ~11:40ish)
-Did all the magic shots on Main Street between 12-1am
I recommend having a solid plan. We did a lot of running around the park and our feet hurt but it was so worth it! There was only 2 of us so I recommend switching out during character lines to get photos and cookies while the other person keeps the spot in line. Please ask if you have any questions!
Do you need to have a party wristband to line up for Sandy Claw? Are you a DVC member that’s why you could line up this early or they were giving out wristband early this time? TIA!

2022 deets announced- looks like a price hike from 2019. (99/pp in early Nov 2019 to 150pp early Nov 2022). Was so overcrowded when we went in 2017 we said we wouldn’t do it again…. Wondering if the price hike will tamper crowds but somehow I doubt it!
