Just a little vent now. Why is it that a search for a party of 1 returns nothing, but when I do a search for a party of 2 I get several options? If a table can seat 2, it should be able to seat 1...and if there are two seats for the CP, then there should be 1. Doesn't seem fair to exclude those who for whatever reason do not have a companion for a dining package.
I haven't had any trouble getting a table for 1 if there is any availability. But I do know what you are saying about being punished on general ADRs when solo. I have found if I can get a reservation for 2, but not 1 - just go ahead and book it, then modify it to 1. BUT, I know you can't do that online with the Candlelight Processional.

I just received this email about the 12/11 show. I must admit when I saw they were changing narrators I was hopping for John Stamos, LOL, but it looks like this actor plays Mufassa on Broadway.

Thank you for booking a dining package for the Candlelight Processional at Epcot for Dec. 11.

There has been a change in entertainment for the evening of your reservation on Dec. 11. Due to health reasons, Chita Rivera will not be performing previously scheduled shows at Candlelight Processional. As a replacement, Alton Fitzgerald White will narrate the Christmas Story on Dec. 11. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Alton Fitzgerald White is wonderful! You won't be disappointed. Besides 4000-plus shows as Mufasa, he starred in the Broadway productions of The Color Purple, Ragtime, Miss Saigon, etc. among many other credits.

Thank you, this will be our first time seeing the show so we have nothing to compare it to, but good to know that the narrator has such a great live production resume. I mean its Disney, we are there for our sons fairy tale wedding, it's the Holiday season, It's going to be a great week.

Just received an email from Disney Destinations advising that Warwick Davis won't be preforming the previously scheduled shows and that Geena Davis will be narrating on Dec 19th.

Getting ready to head to Walt Disney World tomorrow. I haven't been to the candlight processional in many years. Where does the line start if you have a dining package? Does it start near the area near Italy or Japan??

We have the CP Dining package at Garden Grill for BF on our CP day. I don't remember paying when we reserved. Does everyone pay when they make the ADR?

Japan. The left side, facing the theater. Enjoy!

We had to pay when we booked. There is an option to use TS credits (2) but we didn't want to do that. I thought I read on the thread earlier that you had to call to use dining credits, not sure if this is still the case

Hi, first time doing this. I might have missed this in the thread so forgive me. My mom and I will be eating at Via Napoli for lunch at 1:15PM and doing the 5PM show. Will we get the badges for the reserved seating during our lunch or because it's several hours before the show, do we have to go back to the restaurant closer to the 5PM showing to pick them up?

They give you the badges at the conclusion of your meal!

Just adding an answer to my own question in case anyone else would like to know. I cancelled on Sunday afternoon and on Tuesday morning the refund hit my credit card. Not bad turn around time.
Thank you for posting about this, I need to cancel our dinner package and I was wondering how long it would take for the refund to show up, that is a quick turn around time

Does the dining package include the gratuity in the prepaid price? I know the Hoop De Doo and some of the food-related tours do but not sure about the CP.

It is NOT. Or at least was not for me on Thurs 12/5 at La Hacienda. I hope they revisit this in the future because it's quite confusing and awkward. At the end of my meal I was presented with two receipts - one for the meal itself that showed as prepaid but owing gratuity and then a second for the margarita I ordered (I ordered knowing it was extra and not covered by the package). I specifically asked my server if gratuity had been included in my package and she said no. I added the two together and paid my margarita bill adding in the gratuity from the meal itself. I feel for the servers because I can certainly see how this would be confusing and people might miss it despite every good intention. Would be so much easier if gratuity was included.

Folks, better plan to get here early. We are here for the 5pm show and got here at 4:20.....very few seats left! People lining up for next show already, at least 30 people and that's with the dining package!

The 8.15 show was cancelled last night. Does anyone know if we can get our tickets transferred to another night instead?

Are there any seats that are covered from the rain? Looks like rainstorms on our reserved night. Do they cancel/give refunds?

At the very very front of the seating. That area is under cover but you could still get wet if the wind is blowing the rain sideways! You will have to arrive very very early for those seats and some of them may be reserved? I did notice some reserved signs on the last row of these seats.
