I tend to be more sensitive to this type of thing after taking care of a disabled parent for years. My thought is, I'm going on a Disney Cruise I don't care if they stick me in a closet!!

I was assigned one of the cabins a little down the hall when I'd done an 8B GTY and got upgraded, so I can only comment on the sound...but I didn't have any issues with noise from the teens.

I have never done a 7A GTY or otherwise, but I have heard those verandahs are not really that private - though as long as you're not planning on being naked out there or doing anything untoward it shouldn't be a huge problem. I can't imagine people going out on their verandah and looking back into yours rather than out to the ocean. Unless you're giving them a reason to book. (That said, I'd never do a 7A GTY simply because of those two cabins - yours and her sister - not for the privacy thing as I would not be out there naked or doing anything that should be in legitimate private (I don't consider the full sized verandahs 100% private either FWIW) but because I've heard they can be darker also.)
