Is it typical to be put on a waitlist for direct?

Yes, for sold out resorts. They need to rofr a contarct to get points for the UY you desire.

Resales selling at about $100 per point. Disney grabs through ROFR and resells direct at $155 per point. Nice and easy way for them to earn $11,000 (on a 200 point contract).

First-time buyer and our initial OKW contract had a February UY but then we changed that to August, so when first buying you do have flexibility. But when we want to buy August UY again (direct), that's when we have to wait to add on.
