I had to call in, so the breakdown looks a little weird

I was on hold for over an hour (quoted time was 30 min). When I did get through with a DCL rep, he was certainly courteous, but it was a bit of a struggle! I have no idea if their systems were acting strangely, but I knew exactly what cruises I wanted, in exactly what categories and even had a list of preferred staterooms with back-up options and I was on the line with him for over an hour

What a deal, even got a SPH (interior room with a port hole window). Planning to combine this with some first time EVER adult park time after renting a car in Miami and driving to WDW since we own DVC and hold AP's.

Surprise for the wife. I hope she's excited. This will be our first Disney Cruise without our 8 year old son (he'll be 10 till we sail). Unfortunately he can only miss 5 days of school for educational purposes and that'll be during the 5 night 9/30/18 sailing from NYC to NE/Canada.

Sorry again for breaking the rules. But, how else are we to find out prices before and have an educated decision made...That's why most of us are on here, to learn and grow our DIS knowledge. If asking one another for it, under this unique new booking rules is against the rules, then what purpose are we serving. The mod holds this thread with the purpose to help us, by providing invaluable information that we all share with one another. But, under the new tiered booking this process it don't work as good as it once did. We do need to add a request thread to accompany this thread. In the end it's all good. But, remember the purpose of the thread is to help us. I'm sorry if posting questions/requests isn't viewed as proper etiquette. But sometimes when both adults in the household work at 0800 m-f, and booking starts at 0800 you gotta do what you gotta do to have a plan of attack to get the reservation you want.

After this cruise we'll be Gold!!!

Requests certainly can be posted on these boards. We have never said they cannot be. Right about now, I have no problem if requests are posted anywhere else. I just asked that they not be posted on this thread to make it easier for me to update. To be honest, we almost decided not to do this at all this release because AquaDame who usually does most of this is away, and I have a job where I have no computer access. We didn't want to let everyone down though. The past 3 days I have come home from work, gotten right on this thread, and spent quite a bit of time updating it to try to help you all out. I just asked for a little cooperation to make this a bit easier.

As I previously noted when AquaDame returns we will discuss how to go forward with this in the future. I have already sent her a message about it.
