What is your child's classification and diagnosis if you don't mind me asking? I'm having a lot of problems with school and my son. TIA :)

My DD has a medical diagnosis of autism, and her school agrees that she has developmental delays and school aged autism.

She is pretty much completely non-verbal, and recieves speech therapy, ABA (applied behavior analysis) therapy and uses a communication device. She does some inclusion into a third grade classroom with her typically developing peers for some much needed social interaction and behavior to model. She goes to the class for some writing time, and attends art, music and pe with those same peers. An aide goes with her, ready to remove her if she becomes disruptive or has a meltdown.

What type of aide are you looking for?

An access to or a 1:1?

A 1:1 is only written if the diagnosis severly prohibits learning of curriculum.
