For those going on the Fantasy, go to the Atrium and look up at the chandelier with your naked eye. Looks like a very nice, chandelier, right?

Now, use your camera and look at the chandelier. I was surprised. Looking through the camera, I was able to see the movement of fan blades (like a giant ceiling fan). I couldn't see the motion with my naked eye, only by looking through my camera. It's not a big deal but it was surprising.

I'm betting what you're seeing is the cycling of LEDs. LEDs do not emit steady light. They strobe. A camera, with its different frame rate, will catch this strobing.

Very nice shots - looks like a lovely ship too. Wish I could help the thread, but despite cruising every year, I have never taken the chance on a Disney cruise. Being sans kids, I've always maintained that tiny bit of fear that kids would just be a little too prevalent on a Disney cruise, despite their efforts to maintain plenty of adult-only locations onboard. Much as I love Disney, I accept the presence of lots of kids there as part and parcel - but on a cruise, I really like adults only (or mostly). A shame, because I'd probably enjoy the ship design quite a bit. I'll be cruising again this October, but there aren't likely to be very many kids on this ship!

Did you ever venture out to take a Disney cruise? I just got back from the 7-night Western Caribbean cruise on the Fantasy, and I would definitely say that irresponsible aor disrespectful adults are much more problematic than children when it comes to the Disney Cruise Line fleet. We encountered plenty of people UNDER the age of 18 that were very well-behaved, and generally quite fun to watch get so excited at meeting characters and such. We also spent a TON of time in the adult areas of the ship and watched staff tell parents that they were not allowed to have their children in those areas.

We had a GREAT time on the boat, and the only specific memory we have of a "bad encounter" involved five drunk women in The Tube - fortunately for them, they decided to leave before actually getting escorted out by ship security.IMG_0316.jpg
