Good job, Cindy and Jeff!! You guys are awesome!!

Thanks Dan for posting Dana's sequence... that is breath-taking!

Dan,
That is a great series of the castle. Living so close I never think to take photos to share. I am just to caught up in the moment to do a good job I guess. You'd be surprised how many mornings in certain times of the year, You can get a mystery shot of the castle.

Here I am Dan! I've been swamped with school work for the past few days. Anyhoo, here is the 'story' that goes along with the pictures. They make a lot more sense with the story:p

It was a birthday surprise for our 10 year old daughter. But, we all know the trip was for ME!! LOL

All of my childhood I had asked mom when we could go to disney world, can we go, etc.. and she didn't have the heart to tell me we couldn't afford it. I told her many times all I wanted to do was see the castle. When I was really little, that is all I thought there was to WDW.. the castle.

So, our first day Novemember 11, 2001 bright and early, we are walking up Main Street. The fog is horribly thick, and my daughter whispers to me, Where is the castle?? I told her I didn't know, but to keep following everyone else, they would lead the way. (Oh, lucky us, we had the princess breakfast). So, like a fairy tale, the castle just peeked out of the fog at us. Well, by the time I finally got to see the castle, I was in tears!!

We're just following the crowd:

My daughter asking where it was:

Oh!!!! I see something!! I see something!!!

Tears are gushing now!!! I can see it!!!

Crying like a baby, and the crowd just parted and I was able to get a pic of my daughter walking up to the castle.. like I had always wanted to do at her age.

That's a beautiful story and beautiful photos ... I got all teary eyed. :)

Great!!! So nice to see those pictures again, Dana, with your story. I have seen them several times and always enjoy seeing them, with the story of you and your daughter. Thanks for sharing again.

Dan :sunny:

Thanks for the tears DM;) What a great story with such great pictures. It sounds like you and I grew up wanting the same thing....to see the castle. I can't believe I had to wait til I was 40 to see it. Can't keep me away now though:p Keep us posted on this picture thing....I can't wait to see what you guys come up with. Cindy, I like yours.

I had to search through a few pages to find this post again, but it was worth it.

I was hoping to find the finished result on the castle pic...very nice! cindy_k: great job!

I was happy to find the pictures in the fog. Awesome pics and story. This is what going to WDW is all about...making a memory for you and your kids. This is something you can keep in your heart forever! I can't wait to send this thread to the rest of the WhitFordShives.

I cannot wait to see the final photo.

Lora,
where did you find that frame? It is perfect.

Wonderful pictures here... wow.. actually my screensaver is a pic from Dan Murphy, he posted it a long time ago and said we could use them... I have had it ever since except for one time when one of my daughters thought she would be funny and created one of her own.. sort of a cartoon figure of herself saying something she always says.. very sweet. I did laugh but then had to pm Dan to get back my castle picture...thankfully he remembered which one it was...

I cannot wait to see the finished product.. :)

OMG! I am SO excited about the job Jeff has done on this for me!!! He is so fantastic!

Jennifer, I found that frame at several of the bigger stores at WDW. I think I actually bought it at the biggest store in Epcot. When I picked it up and read the words, I started crying right there in the store. I still tear up every time I read it, and can't wait to show you all the frame with Jeff's picture inside it. So special.

Ok, I've got two photos. Here is the photo as Lora will have it printed:

And here, I've inserted it into the 'frame' for you to see what the 'finished' product would look like(It will fill the whole frame once printed):

Very Nice!!!!

I still think her expression is priceless!

Just found this thread. BluOrchid2, I took a picture of the castle from the same bench you did on 12/28! I recognize the palm frond and lantern. I think it is a landscape format if you still need it. I will have to wait until tomorrow night to check it. I wont get home until late tonight.

OMG!!! how wonderful to have a board member offer to do such a special thing. You have done a marvelous job:) Of course, you had good subject matter;) Thanks for sharing your dreams and talent with us all:cool:
