Polynesian Pixie Dust: A Love/Hate Vacationship. An October 2017 TR *updated 2/12x3 and Complete*

I got a serious kick out of imagining this. :lmao:

That's so cute! I love matching at Disney!

This is the dream!! :lovestruc

Oh my gosh, it's such a mess! I think I have it all cleaned up and then a dog walks into the room with little beads of it all stuck in their hair. Where are they finding it?? LOL!
I can barely fit my car in the garage because it's stuffed full of their props and craft materials.

I thought the matching shirts were fun - but it's not something I'll ever be able to wear again, LOL. It's a housecleaning/pajama shirt now!

It really is! I'm super attached to the trolley show, it makes me happy!

So many great photos!! Nothing like walking into Magic Kingdom and just enjoying your surroundings :) I love the matching shirts, the PP pics came out so cute!

Thank you!
Oh, I totally agree. It's an "I'm home" moment for me every time!

haha! Yeah, I don't really care about the Eagles, but anyone besides the Patriots!

Right?!? Tom Brady is a great quarterback, I get it - but I don't think he's a very good sport. He made some really terrible plays that were embarrassing to watch, and I *almost* felt bad. But just almost :rotfl:

Love your matching shirts and the pic of both of you hugging :goodvibes

thank you! it's probably the only time I'll get to wear matching shirts in WDW,lol

Good morning again!

Last night was busy.

About two weeks ago, I became fed up with our queen sized bed. Well, more than two weeks ago, more like a year, lol, but that's when I just couldn't take it anymore. Two out of our four dogs sleep right next to me, and even though they are tiny they take up a lot of room. Between them and DH, I end up miserable most of the night.

When we priced them and realized we could spend a week at the Grand Floridian for the cost of a mattress (I always judge cost in terms of Disney vacations :rotfl:), we decided to try out one of those online mattress companies. That way, if we made a mistake, at least it was a relatively inexpensive mistake compared to our other choices.

We settled on the Purple. It arrived last week, but the bed base arrived damaged, so we had to file a claim and wait another week for it. It came yesterday, so we spent the evening taking the two twin bed's out of our 12 year old's room, moving our queen bed upstairs, and then setting up our new king size in our room. My arms were like jelly afterward, but last night I slept better than I remember since vacation, so it's all good so far!

We are also under a winter weather advisory for possible ice this evening, and I have to keep an eye on that since we have Odyssey of the Mind practice after school today.

But enough about all that, let's keep moving with this MK day!!

Chapter Seven Part Two

After enjoying Main Street and stopping for lots of photopass pictures we headed for Tomorrowland

And more photopass pictures!

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

Our first stop was Monster's Inc Laugh Floor

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

It was hilarious as always. I don't think I'll ever get tired of this show!

Next was a major favorite, The People Mover!

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

The one time I enjoy looking at the Speedway is from the People Mover, lol

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

After People Moving, we started making our way to Fantasyland for our upcoming Seven Dwarfs Mine Train fast pass. We had a little bit of time, so we stopped for even MORE photopass pics

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

Oh, these pictures are bringing me back. ugh. My sunglasses are very different in these pictures. That's because after Monsters, Inc I noticed my black ones were missing  I was so sad b/c I LOVED those sunglasses. They were a whopping $9.99 at Marshalls and they were perfect for the park. The whole point of even buying them was so I wouldn't bring my expensive Tory Burch ones into the parks, so they served their purpose, but I actually liked these more than my expensive ones. I have extremely light sensitive eyes, so I had to go into Star Traders and pick up a new pair. I don't like the way these polka dot ones look, but they were the best ones I found.

Anyway, whatever, right? No real crisis, just an annoyance. My mom asked me if I wanted to go to lost and found later and I laughed b/c I imagined how many pairs of black sunglasses they probably have in a bin somewhere there. Not worth it to me.

Here's the Beast's castle to get us back on track:

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

Now it was time for Mine Train!

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

Fun as always!!

My mom really wanted to ride the REAL train afterward, so we headed to Fantasyland station

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

I enjoyed the scenery along the way

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

and thought it was fun to get a different view of the MK entrance from Main Street station

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

The plan was to hop off at Frontierland, so that's what we did! We were about to have the best Frontierland experience EVER. At least for me!!

First though, a bit of sadness - please take a moment of silence for the closed Splash Mountain:

The disappointment was short lived though, because on the bridge we found...

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

Big Al!! What?? I was so excited. I'm a pretty hardcore Country Bears fan. And since that was where we were going, it was even more fun to see him while we were walking that way.

The Country Bear excitement didn't end there. Liverlips McGrowl was out hoola hooping with some kids!

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

He wasn't very good :rotfl2:

Mom and I went in to wait for the next show. Selfies happened.

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

And after the show, one final Country Beariffic surprise

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

Wendell!!

I was over the moon with all the Country Bear love!

Speaking of all those bears, we were as hungry as bears, too! We decided on Pecos Bill nachos

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

They look boring until you hit up the toppings bar

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

Wow, that looks like a lot of stuff, lol. I probably ate all that guacamole, but I doubt all that cheese and sour cream made it onto the chips.

After stuffing ourselves, it was time for our next fast pass

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

There is no such thing as too much mansion!!

That's all for now! I will wrap up this day next time. Enjoy your day, Friends!

Love the PM and 7DMT for different reasons but both are must do every trip
Glad you got to see the Country Bears

More great PP pics! I'm sorry about your sunglasses, that stinks! But I actually like the new ones you picked!

Selfies with the country bears, ahhh how awesome!!

Yeah, no expensive sunglasses for me at Disney! I will invariably loose or break them. It's a good thing I brought a backup in September, because I lost my first pair on Barnstormer and by the time I went to Lost and Found they had moved it all over to TTC-didn't bother going over to check!

And after the show, one final Country Beariffic surprise

Wendell!!

I was over the moon with all the Country Bear love!
He looks like he's eating you!

When we priced them and realized we could spend a week at the Grand Floridian for the cost of a mattress (I always judge cost in terms of Disney vacations :rotfl:

I do this, too! And you're right. Mattresses are SO expensive. We just bought a new king bed this fall and it felt devastating to spend so much money on a bed. I'd definitely try online if we had to do it again! I've heard a lot of good things about mattresses like Purple and Casper lately!

My arms were like jelly afterward, but last night I slept better than I remember since vacation, so it's all good so far!

Yay! That's great!

:worship::worship: Yay!! So pleased for you!

Wendell!!

I was over the moon with all the Country Bear love!

:hyper: Just keeps getting better! What an excellent Country Bears day!

It's so refreshing to see these pictures and remember this trip after the trauma of New Year's Eve week, LOL!
YES!!! I hear ya!

Still so sad about the Great Movie ride  I'm pretty ok with changes at WDW, but this one is the hardest for me to take, I think.
I couldn't agree more.

Thank you for being a friend, Betty!!
One of my fave shows ever :goodvibes

I was devastated that they no longer had the salmon BLT on the menu, because it was one of my favorite things EVERRRR at Walt Disney World.
What?! What?! :scared1:

I was online trying to get Dave Matthews Band tickets b/c they're coming back to town in a few months.
Funny, my BFF and I are doing the same! :rotfl: I think it's safe to say we're in the same age bracket :rotfl2:

Hello again!!

For our last trip over to the Magic Kingdom

All I do know is that it was a beautiful day with low humidity, not scorching hot, and the sky was so perfectly blue!

I just wanted to take in more of the fall atmosphere and get every ounce of Magic out of the day that I could!

T

It's just such a pretty view of the castle from here

I heard music and knew it must be time for morning trolley. I think this show is so much fun, and the only trolley show I'd never seen before was autumn trolley, so we backtracked a bit to go watch

I just love MK and have to start and end my trips there. I love the Morning Trolley. Lucky you for being able to see all four of the seasons!

I love the photo of you and your mom in your Mother/Daughter shirts with the Fall decorations.

It looks like the two of you had the perfect Mother/Daughter trip!

I’m so late on following your trip report but I’m glad to join in-except for all of the Patriots and Tom Brady hate-too soon, man. Too soon.

When we priced them and realized we could spend a week at the Grand Floridian for the cost of a mattress (I always judge cost in terms of Disney vacations :rotfl:)

I also do this. But omg I work in a furniture store and people spend 10k on mattresses sometimes! :faint:

They were a whopping $9.99 at Marshalls and they were perfect for the park.

My favorite sunglasses were like 9.99 at Aeropostale! I have like 3 pairs :rotfl: and I think I've already lost 1 pair.

Big Al!! What?? I was so excited. I'm a pretty hardcore Country Bears fan. And since that was where we were going, it was even more fun to see him while we were walking that way.

Yay I'm so glad you got to see some Country Bears!

Wow, that looks like a lot of stuff, lol. I probably ate all that guacamole, but I doubt all that cheese and sour cream made it onto the chips.

We can never manage to put our toppings and everything together so neatly :rotfl:

Awesome update, loving this TR!

When we priced them and realized we could spend a week at the Grand Floridian for the cost of a mattress (I always judge cost in terms of Disney vacations :rotfl:),

hahahahahahahahaha! I LOVE the way you judge the cost of things!

The one time I enjoy looking at the Speedway is from the People Mover, lol

:car: :worship:

Liverlips McGrowl was out hoola hooping with some kids!

OOh Liverlips <3

Just found this today and read it all as DH and I have 5 nights at the Poly villas in March--not our first time at the Poly but so excited. I have to ask are you taking your pictures with your phone or a camera? I bought a camera in 2016 for one of our trips and have used it, but never even look at the memory card once I'm home. i was thinking this time I'll cut my packing and just take my Galaxy.

Big Al!! What?? I was so excited. I'm a pretty hardcore Country Bears fan. And since that was where we were going, it was even more fun to see him while we were walking that way.

How do you always see the Country Bears??? I'm a little jealous of your luck!

we were as hungry as bears, too

I read that as "we went to Hungry Bear" and thought "omg is there one in Florida now?!" ....I'm doing great here lol

OMG I hate our mattress and we are way overdue for a new one. Problem is, everything seems to,come before a new mattress.......and I only think about looking for one when I get into bed
Love your matching shirts!

We've been lucky enough to meet Larry Dotson the past three visits and have him sign for us, so it was fun to mix it up with this guy's work:
Hmm I don't know this artist so I'll have to look him up. We've met Larry twice but sadly he hasn't been around for our last few trips. I miss him; Larry where are you??!!

This is the Schinkennudeln, pasta gratin with ham and cheese. She loved it, and I thought it was ok, but we both agreed it was waaaayyyy too heavy and not the best idea for us to have picked up.
I really enjoyed this too but yes, soooo heavy. I couldn't finish it and had to jog around WS a couple times to work it off. Well, I mean I COULD have jogged WS a couple times to work it off. If I jogged.......or cared :p

heard music and knew it must be time for morning trolley. I think this show is so much fun,
I cannot walk by the trolley show without stopping!

The one time I enjoy looking at the Speedway is from the People Mover, lol
Do you believe I made FP's for this for next month :rolleyes1 We haven't ridden in years; I don't particularly care for it. However the boys used to love it and I guess I was feeling nostalgic when I made them. It also might have something to do with the fact that Ricky gets his drivers permit in 2 months :scared1: and I rather remember simpler times when all he could drive was a nasty smelling car at WDW!

so I had to go into Star Traders and pick up a new pair. I don't like the way these polka dot ones look, but they were the best ones I found.
I'm notorious for losing sunglasses so I've had to purchase them in Disney many times. I've yet to find a pair I find comfortable and that looks good on me

I didn't pay attention to how far behind on quotes I was, yikes!

Love the PM and 7DMT for different reasons but both are must do every trip
Glad you got to see the Country Bears

I was really glad my mom was a good sport about the rides and ended up loving them - I think the People Mover was a big winner, and I was shocked she liked 7DMT!
I think I might have been a Country Bear in a past life :rotfl:

More great PP pics! I'm sorry about your sunglasses, that stinks! But I actually like the new ones you picked!

Selfies with the country bears, ahhh how awesome!!

I was so distraught over those darn sunglasses! I still get annoyed when I think about them, LOL!
I couldn't believe all the CB's were all out and about!

Yeah, no expensive sunglasses for me at Disney! I will invariably loose or break them. It's a good thing I brought a backup in September, because I lost my first pair on Barnstormer and by the time I went to Lost and Found they had moved it all over to TTC-didn't bother going over to check!

He looks like he's eating you!

I was so mad about losing them, but glad they were just a backup pair...of course I would have to fall in love with the darn things! My newest back ups that I keep in the car managed to break in the car this morning, so I need to find these Disney ones to put in there as spares. That's what I was afraid of, that everything would have been moved over to the TTC. I don't think I could have picked out my sunglasses in a bin of hundreds! I had them looped through the keyring part of my lanyard like I had the entire trip, but somehow they fell off. #NeverForget :rotfl2:

Haha! He does look like he's getting ready to take a big bite out of my head! And I look like I'm totally fine with it, lol!!

I do this, too! And you're right. Mattresses are SO expensive. We just bought a new king bed this fall and it felt devastating to spend so much money on a bed. I'd definitely try online if we had to do it again! I've heard a lot of good things about mattresses like Purple and Casper lately!

:sad1:

:worship::worship: Yay!! So pleased for you!

:hyper: Just keeps getting better! What an excellent Country Bears day!

I'm still so bummed about those glasses...talking about them in the TR and now the quotes...wow, I was way more attached to them than I thought :rotfl:

Closed Splash Mountain was the saddest thing ever

I hit the Country Bear jackpot! I have no idea why they were so active this particular day, but it made my whole year!!

Gotta love the Country Bear Love!!!

I was so excited!!

YES!!! I hear ya!

I couldn't agree more.

One of my fave shows ever :goodvibes

What?! What?! :scared1:

Funny, my BFF and I are doing the same! :rotfl: I think it's safe to say we're in the same age bracket :rotfl2:

We need "We survived" shirts for making it through that week, LOL!!

Part of me feels like I should move on, but the other part of me says I should throw eggs at whoever decided to take GMR away from us.

One of my favorite shows, too!! I used to watch it with my grandparents (which is still funny to think about them letting me watch it, lol) so it is special to me!

The loss of the salmon BLT there is right up there with losing GMR. There's one at Geyser Point at WL I think, but I really loved that one at SciFi

Did you get tickets?? Since we ended up with lawn tickets I need to figure out a seating situation. Our show is at the end of May, so I'm hoping it won't be super hot or raining. When he came to town a couple years ago for the Two Sets tour (which was AMAZING), it started pouring rain, but we were under cover with real seats. My birthday is coming up and I am just not trying to think about age :rotfl::rotfl:

SO very curious what is growing on the ceiling up there!!!!

Love that you got to take selfies with the Country Bears!!! Those nachos look delish too!!

Same!! I didn't notice the plant growth until I put the picture in the report. HOW is something even growing up there??

I was over the moon about the Country Bears! And I am ALWAYS in favor of nachos, lol. They were good!

I love the MK too!! In January I CRIED...like, reallllly close to an ugly cry...when I left for the last time b/c I didn't know when I'd be back. It's truly a feeling of coming home when you walk in for the first time each trip, and leaving is so hard.

It was a surprisingly good trip! In the beginning I had no idea what to expect, and I think in parts I maybe tried a little too hard to make sure things were "perfect", but once I loosened up a bit, we had a good time.

I’m so late on following your trip report but I’m glad to join in-except for all of the Patriots and Tom Brady hate-too soon, man. Too soon.

Oh, I'm sorry!! I feel for the fans, it's always rough when you're used to your team winning. No more hate from me though, I got it all out of my system!! I saw a headline today that was "How Tom Brady is dealing with the Super Bowl loss", and my first thought was, "he's probably just carrying on and living his life, enjoying some time off, and preparing for next year." One of my friends is a hardcore Brady fan and she's still sad!

:rotfl2:

This shot is so cool and unique :thumbsup2

I couldn't agree more!

It's true, lol. I hate walking by it for some reason, but think it looks cool from the PM.

We are looking for places to vacation this summer, and San Francisco and the Redwood National Park is high on the list. Last night I was looking for hotels up the coast closer to the park, and I found an old hotel someone had described as "like staying in the Haunted Mansion at Disney World", and I was like, that is not a bad thing!!

I also do this. But omg I work in a furniture store and people spend 10k on mattresses sometimes! :faint:

My favorite sunglasses were like 9.99 at Aeropostale! I have like 3 pairs :rotfl: and I think I've already lost 1 pair.

Yay I'm so glad you got to see some Country Bears!

:lovestruc

We can never manage to put our toppings and everything together so neatly :rotfl:

For years my favorite sunglasses were these $5 ones from Walmart. I would buy like 3 pairs at a time b/c I was scared they'd stop selling them. The last pair died this morning. I left my good ones in the house b/c I wore them inside on top of my head or something and rushed out without them, so I wore the extras to take the kids to school. When I got home, I moved my good ones to the table so I wouldn't forget them...and then forgot them anyway on the way to get groceries. So I reached for the pair already in my car and they were broken!! The arm of them was cracked and dangling with the screw barely holding things together - I have no idea how they broke in such a short time between coming home from dropping the kids off and then coming back home to get showered and dressed for shopping. I have to go see if there are more at Walmart

Those bears are just the greatest thing ever. I love them so much!!

Once everything was piled on top of the nachos it wasn't neatly organized, LOL!!

Awesome update, loving this TR!

hahahahahahahahaha! I LOVE the way you judge the cost of things!

:car: :worship:

OOh Liverlips <3

Thank you!!

Oh, I'm not kidding either! Even when we go out to eat somewhere, I"m like, "we could have spent the same at The Plaza", or "This steak has nothing on Citrico's"

It was Country Bear A Palooza!! That little girl was having so much fun with Liverlips!

Hello and welcome!!

My pictures are from my phone! I have a big dslr that I always WANT to bring, but the thought of carrying it around all day in the parks makes me leave it at home. I took it to Disneyland in 2016, and got tired of worrying about it. I have an iphone X now, but these were taken with the 6s plus. I had a couple of Galaxies before switching to iphone and loved the camera on both of them, and they served me well on Disney trips, too.

Enjoy your Poly trip!! It will be here before you know it...February has already flown by for me!

How do you always see the Country Bears??? I'm a little jealous of your luck!

I read that as "we went to Hungry Bear" and thought "omg is there one in Florida now?!" ....I'm doing great here lol

I don't know how I manage to find them!! I have never seen them all out wandering at the same time like this, it was amazing! It was good enough seeing them here and there on their own, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't totally losing it over seeing them all in one day so close together.

Sadly, we didn't go to Hungry Bear...we just WERE hungry bears, lol!!

OMG I hate our mattress and we are way overdue for a new one. Problem is, everything seems to,come before a new mattress.......and I only think about looking for one when I get into bed
Love your matching shirts!

Hmm I don't know this artist so I'll have to look him up. We've met Larry twice but sadly he hasn't been around for our last few trips. I miss him; Larry where are you??!!

I'm notorious for losing sunglasses so I've had to purchase them in Disney many times. I've yet to find a pair I find comfortable and that looks good on me

Ok, so a week in on the Purple and I would feel confident recommending it to people. I was the same with our old bed...which wasn't even all that old, or uncomfortable really, I was just fed up with the size and all of the animals taking up my space, and feeling it every time Matt took a breath or something. The motion transfer was so obnoxious. I don't sleep well anyway, so I was ready to pitch the whole thing out the window. But I wouldn't remember how much I hated it until we went to bed, Matt fell asleep, and I was left lying awake with him snoring and the dogs snoring, and being squished between them. We got the purple in a king and it has been life changing.

His artwork is really nice! Some of it is a little cutesy and not quite as realistic as Larry's, but the one I ended up with was beautiful. I need to go take a picture of it...we still don't have a frame for it, so it's propped up on a shelf in our closet :scared:

Haha, yeah, my level of caring about jogging it off is about the same as yours!!

Nostalgia is a powerful thing! Aw, I feel you on the drivers license thing. Ugh. I have to go renew my own before my birthday next week and I was going to pick up a book for Xavier. Here kids can get their permit at 14 (WHAT?!?! I'm assuming b/c in rural parts of the state it's needed for farming or something??), and there's always at least one 8th grader who has started driving. Not my kiddo, LOL! He'll be 15 in August and then I'll *consider* starting to let him practice in a parking lot and get him signed up for driver's ed (where I"m from in MO, it was a class at school, here it has to be done independently if done at all). Good luck to Ricky and hugs to you - that's such a huge step. There's a new Nationwide insurance commercial where a mom is teaching her son to drive and the first time I saw it I burst into tears and everyone looked at me like I was nuts. A pretty common occurrence here actually :rotfl:

None of the Disney sunglasses are flattering on me I don't think. I have one pair i had to pick up at Disneyland - they're at WDW too, the ones that look like raybans, clear plastic with black Mickey heads on them. They're the best I've found, but still not perfect. I wasn't a huge fan of he ones I had to get in October at all. They left imprints on my nose!

Chapter Seven Part Three

Let's put the finishing touches on this final MK day!!

After lunch at Pecos Bill and a ride through the Haunted Mansion, plus a little stop off to check out all of the holiday goodness at Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe, we made our way up toward the castle for Mickey's Royal Friendship Faire.

I'm sure I'm not the only one with 90,000 pictures of the castle from this angle.

I'm sure I'm also not the only one with pictures of adorable Disney duckies on this bridge!!

Hi, duckies!!

Ok, NOW we finally got ourselves up in front of the castle. Prepare for a series of pictures from the show:

The party kicks off and everyone is looking for guests to bring along! Goofy, that delightful party boy, brought along Tiana and friends.

Donald decided to bring some Vikings...much to Daisy's dismay

Then SOMEBODY had to show off and bring out their icy pals from Norway...

And then everyone comes out together in their awesome fall outfits to dance

The twirl on those dresses, though!!

After the show we were off to Adventureland

Amazing how you can be free from walls one day and then BAM, there it is for the rest of the trip.

We were going to Adventureland for a Pirates fast pass, but we had some time to kill first. When my mom saw THIS:

and decided she wanted to ride it. I told her I'd look for another FP after we tapped in for Pirates.
First though, I had to take her to a special little place...

I'm not sure how she actually felt about the Tiki Room?? But I love it!!

We watched the birdies sing and dance and then moved on to our Pirates FP

We were sort of ready for our photo on the ride this time. Pirate hooks up!

True to my word, as soon as we tapped in for our Pirates fast pass I looked for a 4th for the Magic Carpets to appease my mother. I struck gold after a couple of refreshes!

After our ride through the Caribbean, we stopped for a couple of photopass shots before going back to the Carpets.

What face am I making here??? This is ridiculous :rotfl:

Ridiculous or not, I was still happy to have this picture since we'd missed out on it during MNSSHP a few nights earlier.

We were finally ready to get on those Magic Carpets, and would you believe it was my first time riding?? I was excited to see the view from up there

Selfie first of course

You can actually see a bit of the castle from here...sort of

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

That was it for us and the Magic Kingdom, sadly, and we began making our way to the front of the park.

We had a nice little treat by Casey's...a little music to make the moment memorable

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

But it didn't end there! We also caught the Dapper Dans

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

I hate saying goodbye to the Magic Kingdom. The monorail softens the blow...a little.

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

We got back to the Polynesian with plenty of time to get ready for our farewell dinner at 'Ohana. I was even prepared with an outfit.

Sadly, I look like something out of the Exorcist here...HOW did I manage to twist myself around like this?? Am I an owl's head? Am I possessed?

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

I am only sharing it to show off my super cool skirt and Moana shirt combo.

Mom dressed for the occasion, too

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

We checked in a little early for dinner, but I told mom not to get her hopes up that we'd be seated before our scheduled time

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

But I was wrong and we waited less than ten minutes before we were taken to our seat...with our bread!

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

We had a nice view of the castle

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

WE did, you don't in this picture, lol

The food pictures here are the worst b/c I forgot until it was too late for most of them, but in the effort of full disclosure, Salad:

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

Noodles, veggies, potstickers and wings...kind of.

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

And best of all, bread pudding!!

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

Service here was pretty terrible, which was the case on our last visit too. The food makes it worth it. There were meat skewers too of course but no pictures of that.

The rest of the night involved packing and trying to help my mom shove everything into her suitcases...it was challenging.

We popped up to the lounge for a late night dessert after we were all packed up

by https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

and then we tried valiantly to stay awake long enough to watch Hallowishes from the Poly beach. I killed time on Instagram while we were in the lounge and noticed this:

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

Yes, the ACTUAL Patricia Heaton. And she follows me on there too. I felt fancy.

We managed to stay awake for Hallowishes, but this is how my pictures turned out:

https://www.flickr.com/photos/143888229@N08/

so I won't torture with a bunch of blurry craziness.

I vastly preferred watching the fireworks from the Poly beach rather than the CL lounge.

After the fireworks we went right to bed...I'm old, what can I say??

The next chapter will be our departure day!! Finally getting this thing close to wrapped up, woohoo!

Your Pirates ride picture is the best!!

Sounds like a really nice afternoon!

I love your outfit for dinner! Both you and your mom were dressed for the occasion :)

Glad it was a good dinner at Ohana! Watching the fireworks is a great way to end your final night, even if it wasn't from the beach or in the park!
