Port Canaveral to Animal Kingdom Lodge

Weighing transportation options for 4 of us from port canaveral to animal kingdom lodge. Looking for feedback from anyone who has taken Disney transfers to see the average wait time on bus. Would like to get to animal kingdom lodge as early as possible to make a day of it in a park. We will be ready to leave off Dream with express disembarkation.

If you book DCL transfers, the computer system sets up buses to go to the various resorts. Typically a bus will go to around 3 resorts, and once the bus is filled at the port with people going to those 3 resorts, it leaves.

It takes about an hour from port to WDW. We've been at our resort pretty much by 10:30, 11:00 at the latest, but it's possible to be there earlier than that using DCL transfers. Just depends on how quickly the buses fill up and head out. There's no set schedule.

We use a car service as we can set an early pick up time and get to our resort very early... we were picked up at 8 am over the summer at the port!

The one-way transfer from Disney are $35 a person, with four people you may very well be able to find a car service for a similar price, or even less. I would recommend a car service for you, as the buses to the resort don't start running until about 9 AM. So if you do the express walk off, you'll be standing around for an hour or so before the buses leave.
