Posting photo from my hard drive

I read all the links, and it sounds like you can post a photo if it is from a web site. However, my photos are just .jpg that are on my hard drive. How can I post them? I can see them on my preview, but no one else can. What I was trying was selecting the IMG button, and then typing in after the http:
c:\adr\disneyinfo\70s.jpg
This is the drive and directory where the picture is stored on my hard drive. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

To be able to display an image in your posts or your signature, they have to be stored on a web page. I'm afraid it won't work from your pc. I think a lot of people wish it would.

You can get a free web page on DIS. There is one of the links in that thread that tells you how to get a web page on DIS and upload files and images to it. Then you can use them from there on the DIS boards.

For example, I have a file on my DIS web page called brightminnie18.gif. To display it here I use the following code:

&ltimg src="http://www.wdwinfo.com/sites/brazeal/brightminnie18.gif">

To get:

<img src="http://www.wdwinfo.com/sites/brazeal/brightminnie18.gif">

But I couldn't display that if it was just stored on my local hard drive.
