Pre-Park Opening Breakfast Reservations

We have breakfast reservations for both of our Magic Kingdom days before the park opens. 8:30 BOG with park opening at 9 and 8:00 Crystal Palace with park opening at 9. How early can you get to the parks before a breakfast reservation? Anyone with any tips/advice on Pre-Park Opening reservations that they would be willing to share? This is our first Disney trip as a family and the first trip for my husband and kiddos (3 and 5).

They open the Main Street/hub area to ALL park goers around 7:45am. The days of using a PPO ADR for pictures in a mostly empty Main Street or castle are nearly gone.

For those with a PPO BoG reservation, you will check in to the left of the castle and be allowed to make your way to the restaurant beginning at 7:45/7:50-ish. Don't worry about getting lost, there will be folks to direct you to the restaurant and make sure you don't wander off the beaten path. You may be allowed to ride either Peter Pan or 7DMT (although the ages of your children may prevent this one) before the rope drop crowds get there...but that also depends on whether your ADR falls on a day with Extra Morning Magic.

For your CP reservation, you'll just be there with the masses in the MS/hub area, and you can just walk up to the restaurant. There is zero PPO advantage to this reservation (other than getting breakfast out of the way before park opening), since you're still behind the ropes. Of course, rope drop may happen while you're dining at CP, especially if you're committed to seeing all the characters.

Thank you! And there are no extra magic hours the days that we go. :)

Good, but be aware that EMM is not the same as EMH. EMM is a "pay for early access" event held every Sunday and Tuesday at Magic Kingdom. You will not get early rides on PP or 7dmt while there are folks there paying for that early access.

And, of course you already know that a PPO on a morning with EMH offers no advantage. Morning EMH's at MK are ALWAYS on Fridays, but other days are often added.

Make sure you keep an eye on opening times at MK. Disney is infamous for changing their opening hours....especially around holidays, but other times as well.
