Hi there,

We want to visit this resort on a Non-Park day and want to know what there is to do there. Do you have any recommendations on restaurants, activities, scavenger hunts or hidden Mickey's?

I want my fiance to get the resort bug, so anything special about this resort that we can do would be great.

Thanks
Samantha:)

Breakfast and lunch are great at the Grand Floridian Cafe, dinner is wonderful at Narcossees (out on the water, beside the boat dock).

There are shops on the first and second floor of the main building. There is Bally's, Commander Porter's, Summer Lace, Sandy Cove, and M Mouse Merchantile.

It's really nice to sit and listen to the piano player in the lobby or the band later in the evening. You can also watch the EWP from the dock and then get a snack at Gasparillas & sit outside to watch the fireworks at MK. It's a beautiful resort.

PhotobearSam, since you're marrying "StarWarsMan," I think some star gazing from the beach is in order. If you don't want sand in your shoes, then star gaze from the Water Taxi dock. And don't forget to gaze longingly at the following MK view. *Sigh*

First, the resort itself will take your breath away. Stand in the lobby, look up, and gape.

Second, the shops are amazing. Most are WAY beyond the budget of normal people. But you can look, drool and dream.
:p

The restaurants are great. The GF Cafe is a fun breakfast spot -- and the character meals at 1900 Park Faire are delightful.

Walk around. The grounds are gorgeous, the landscaping is impeccable, and the atmosphere Veddy Chic.

The beach is beautiful -- take off your shoes and wiggle your toes. Get a drink by the pool and people-watch.

Keep your eyes peeled for Mickey and Minnie -- the GF is a big spot for weddings, and The Mice are always being invited.

Walk over the wedding pavilion and take a peek. It's pretty, and pretty spectacular, once you get a glimpse at The Castle, smack dab in the middle of that big picture window behind the altar!

Chat with the greeters: those fellows in spats and straw hats waving hello to everyone. They're a hoot.

If you're there in the evening, sit and listen to the big band swinging upstairs above the lobby. Then take a stroll over to the boat marina and watch the fireworks from the Magic Kingdom, and ooh and ah and dream about spending a night or two at the loveliest, most lavish, most LUXE resort in The World. :Pinkbounc
