Interesting where in the timeline these fit and if it takes place in the Last Jedi time period if there will be any character or planet (thinking the new Casino planet)

It will be separate from the Skywalker story. So something completely new.

yeah, I figured that ... but like totally separate? or just taking place during relatively same timeline, etc in same "universe" or nothing the same (other than "the force", etc.)

I guess we will have to wait to find out. My guess is something either pre or post skywalkers. I'd expect lots of new characters.

I doubt that considering they really seem to like him and Episode 8. I think JJ and Rain will be the Lucasfilm go to for now.

It was a joke on the StarWars Galaxy's Edge at DHS and merchandise tie-ins. Knew I should have capitalized edge and used the sarcasm font.

Yep, think they're following cbs' strategy with their new Star trek series that's only available on their streaming app.

This is a familiar refrain...but this seems like more boardroom decrees to beat the living p!ss out of the name to make up for other problems...if it quacks and waddles, you know?

One month to see this new "masterpiece"...will Judge more then. Force awakens is not a good movie...definitely not a very good Star Wars...if that's the bar then the real "saga"...failure to make movies that have any semblance of heart since 1983...may continue forever.

Mark hamill is the backstop...always has been...the "once and future king"

I wonder if this is going to be a way for them to include characters from the Old Republic maybe a trilogoy on that? By this news I have to think that he did an amazing job on TLJ for him to be the head of a new trilogy.

or at the very least he did an amazing job of balancing making a movie the true "fanboys" will like, that families will like, that will sell a ton of toys (looking at you Porgs) and was easy enough to work with (unlike all these other directions they have gotten rid of mid-project)
