RIP Bruno Sammartinio

WWE hall of famer Bruno died at the age of 82. Said he died after battling health issues the last 2 months. He was before my time yes wrestling is fake but he was the champion for 8 straight years which is a record. He sold out Madison square garden 188 times as a headliner. RIP

Although I think wrestling is absolutely ridiculous, he had a long and great career entertaining people. RIP.

I was obsessed with the WWE (then WWF) from about '81 until '88. He had just retired when I started watching, but was talked about a lot, and I think he was even a commentator during the '80s. Sad.

Big news in the Pittsburgh area, where apparently he lived. I have no clue who he is other than what the news said. An interesting early life in Italy hiding in the mountains from the Nazis.
