Rosen Shingle Creek

Hi all
Not a review but I couldnt see one for Shingle Creek. Has anyone bene there before as we are staying there for two weeks at start of December and just wondered peoples thoughts on the place.

We stayed at Rosen Shingle Creek about 2 years ago and enjoyed our stay. We got an exceptional rate thru Hotwire but were not informed of the parking fee which was $16 a day for self park. Our room overlooked the pools (3 outdoor) and I don't know if they still do this, but one night there were fireworks at the hotel that we were able to view from our window. This hotel is actually closer to Sea World than WDW. The accommodations were nice and we also liked the restaurants on property. Restaurant dot com usually has certificates for Cafe Oseola. Enjoy! We will also be traveling to the world and staying for 6 days in early December and can't wait.

Thanks for the info. We have managed to get the parking free with virgin holidays which was a result. Hearing some good things about the restaurents and hope they have the fireworks while we are there too

We stay here often and is usually the first place we start looking at when staying in Orlando. It is closer to Sea World and Universal Studios than it is to Disney. It is always clean and well maintained.

This is a convention hotel so it can get busy if your stay is during a convention. We usually go the week of Thanksgiving (we are checking in Monday again) and its dead the beginning of that week.

Thanks Dsquare. We will be there from the 3rd for 2 weeks. We were told it was pretty booked up when we get there but hoping not the same for the whole two weeks.
Pleased to hear its clean though as we had some trouble when we booked somewhere else first then found out (from tripadvisor) that it had mould in the showers and not at all clean, so we paid a bit extra for here.

Well this is the first time on here since we came back from our Disney trip in December (too depressed to look before now) Our stay at Rosen Shingle Creek was fantastic. The car park wasnt that far from the hotel entrance although we didnt have to park in the further second one at all during our trip. Only on 2-3 days during our 14 was it really busy in there. The restaurents at the hotel were pretty pricey and not too much choice but A Land Remebered is well worth the cost if you can. Steak was fantastic. The service throughout the hotel was pretty good, although we dont stay at many so not much in the way of refernce but we were happy with it. Room was clean enough and bins emptied and beds made every day of our stay except when we had the sign on the door. Will absolutely be on our shortlist for venues next time we come back to Florida.
